I think the real purpose of wizards and priests not being “core rules” is for the purposes of spearhead. Spearhead only uses core rules and they do something special for priests and wizards warscrolls if they come in the box.

They've also said they want the rules to be "modular" and want to make them able to be replaced and updated without doing fiddly "Change line 3 of rule 3.6 to say "Every" instead of "Each"" kinds of things. Instead of editing rules in place for new season rules or reworks, they just swap the whole module. So to achieve something like this Andtor season with wild magic, instead of adding a new ability that modifies how magic works, they'd just make a new magic module and say "Hey this module replaces the old Magic module for this season. It contains the same core rules but edited to make sense with primal dice and clarifying interactions with the new artifacts and things". Then Narrative players or whoever still use the old Magic module and don't give a shit, or swap in the new one if they want it. You basically swap whole pages of rules in and out rather than having to write rules on rules on rules that modify each other and interact in weird ways. I like it

There should be a penalty to capture weight for retreating instead of damage.

Retreat is very powerful. You get to "save" a unit from certain death. Yes, it'll probably die, but it requires resources from the enemy. prevents a 1 health unit to retreat and demanding an answer from the opponent. I dunno. IMO, if they want to incentivize not retreating. Make the retreating unit, not count on objectives for a turn.

Not sure if anyone mentioned it already - the DoK All-Out Slaughter is a Command, so can only be issued once per turn, even if it doesn't state Once per Turn (Army) as the command core rule provides that restriction

Its Once Per Game, anyway.
@Strade8

Not sure what you mean because: 1) the core keyword limit is that you can use just one core ability in each phase 2) AllOutS doesn't have the core keyword 3) It says once per battle, so you can only use it once.

@@shawnfreed8586"once per game" cares about the source of the ability. If a unit uses a once per game ability another unit can still use that once per game ability. It basically becomes "once per game(unit)" Commands are used by units, not players, so it can be used every turn. On the other hand Ironjawz waaagh! Is a true once per game because its used by the player, and the target is a unit. Companion also seems to care about the source. Note: I hate that this matters. Get it out of the game. Anything more than friendly or enemy sources is too much.

@davidcampbell621 not quite sure that's how it works. Since the ability doesn't exist on a warscroll. It can only be "used" Once Per Battle

@@shawnfreed8586 its exactly how it works, later in the video heywoah goes over how it works too. It is incredibly poorly formatted, but the core rule section on abilities with limits like this is pretty clear.

Question: Does an "obscuring" forest terrain feature block shoot even if you have LOS to a unit that is completely on the other side of that terrain but visible through spaces between trees? Suggestion: In the stream it seams to imply that a wizard(2) can cast 2 and dispell 2 in the same phase but it is written clearly that it can't. The choice is to keep 1 unbind against counter magic or use them all.

I think that terrain is supposed to be more abstract within its footprint than exact, so I would say yes it is obscuring. I'd imagine that they want you to see the physical trees as an imagination tool but not a gameplay one since that makes individual forests have gameplay effect and they can't regulate that. After all, on a real battlefield that forest would have like 50 more trees than it does in that picture, same as how a battle at this scale is gonna have more than 20 ardboyz but we abstract the numbers to make the game make sense.
