It was also where the songs Purple Rain, I Would Die 4 U, and Baby I'm A Star was recorded for the Purple Rain album. It was recorded with the newest technology at the time for the benefit concert Prince performed there on Aug 3 1983. It was also guitarists Wendy Melvoin's first appearance and the formation of what we knew as The Revolution. Lots of history happened that night. To all the people complaining about the audience: have you ever been to a concert, or better yet on stage? Those people are passionate, and they're expressing it. For a performer there's probably nothing worse than an inanimate, silent crowd. To screaming fans lower the quality of a KZitem recording? Sure enough. But that's not what shows like this are meant for. So props to Corey for such a beautiful rendition of Purple Rain, and props to the audience for showing him their appreciation

So many people on here complaining about the crowd. There isn't exactly a book of etiquette written for proper crowd reaction in the hometown of a musical icon who passed away JUST HOURS BEFORE this brilliant performance in a night club which that iconic artist helped make famous! And holy crap, a female yelling out how she loves the person on stage!!! Wow, that never happens at a concert, does it? Realize it's a concert at a night club, not a quiet performance at a local coffee house. Seems as if Corey fed off of the crowd way more than he was annoyed by them. If you who complained about the crowd were actually at the show, you probably would've fed off of the vibe that all of Minneapolis was giving off before the show in memory of Prince, as well as fed off of the crowd's reaction and felt the urge to scream and howl and sing along too.

Prince was a genius, and walked a lot of us through every occasion in life. We lost a legend that surpassed them all. He was a class act in his own right. 100% selfless. Never expecting to be recognized for what he did and just wanted to share his music with us. This loss hit hard compared to the pasts. :'( We all need to take a page from Prince's life and remember him by being selfless. That would be the greatest tribute ever. Rest in Paradise Prince

But remember, if you were ever lucky enough to see Prince perform live, the sound of screaming girls in the crowd was usually deafening! And they didn't stop screaming until the show was over. Aside from that, it's really nice to see how Prince and his music touched so many different people's lives. Even the great artists of our day worship at the altar of Prince. His musical genius is undeniable and yes, even metal heads like Corey and me (notice my Cannibal Corpse - Vile shirt in my profile pic) love Prince! RIP

I don't like Slipknot what so ever but I'm the biggest Corey Taylor fan ever. Dude is an amazing singer and musician. He needs to tour more so I can se him perform
