I saw this video for the first time years ago and started making corn on the cob for snacks. Today after a ten mile hike, my "new" girlfriend and I were talking about what we wanted to do for dinner and we decided on grilled chicken and corn on the cob. I told her all about this video and showed it to her when we got home. She loved the video and the corn was perfect (once again)! THANK YOU!

If you look at the still frame pic for this video from a certain angle, the corn stalk he's holding looks like a giant grasshopper.

Great technique pops! I like to make mine a little softer... in my 1100 watt microwave I take a frozen ear of corn with the husk, dip it into some water and place in the microwave... 70 percent power for 15 minutes. Flip half way through... season with a little salt and some olive oil, or shake some parmesan cheese on it. I like how you shook the corn out so quickly, you must be a military man in your past lol. Have a great day.

Thanks; I do it for 3 1/2 minutes. Even then it's still a little dry because some of the moisture evaporates. It's not bad though; thanks!

Same here as KAMELION2 said below. I know to look for the older gentleman's video to help me. The fancy websites tell you to microwave 4-5 ears at once for only 4 minutes. Not! Thanks for your video. Cute! ;-)

Tried this tonight. I put four ears of corn in the microwave on high for 16 minutes. Thanks, but no thanks. Way too hot to handle, even with an oven mitt or a towel, and you wind up shaking and squeezing....and shaking some more (just like in the video) before its all said and done, not to mention burning your hands in the process. Nnaaa...I'll shuck and wrap in a paper towel. It might take a minute and a half longer, but to me, it's a lot easier.

you cook it too long. i normally don't cook just 1 ear at a time. if you put 4 ears in for 16 minutes you will have dry tough corn. also different microwave ovens have different power levels. in my 1200 watt oven 3 minutes works just fine for 1 ear, 4 1/2 to 5 for 2. i like my corn on the cob kinda al dente. i personally don't cut it either.
