Again, I came across music in your perfect performance, which I haven't heard yet. How much have you, still a young man, managed to do to educate people around the world! Even if you don't present anything else on KZitem for some reason, you will already go down in history as a very talented and productive pianist. Thank you very much!

Oh! Thank you! I love Gurlitt children's opuses very much - they are so harmonically and melodically, and i really love the first piece. But i can't play it well yet. Thank you for opportunity to listen perfect play :) P.S. "Schubert Impromptu" moment was nice surprised :)

Of course Schubert citation / homage in #3 is clear but there's bit of Mendelssohn in #1, Chopin in #4, French belle epoque in #5 ..... as usual for didactic pieces written "a la.....someone" However light pieces but not trivial. Student pieces but not for beginners....grade 3 to 5 ..... Not everyone could write easy pieces but still pleasant ... Beethoven was almost never good when he wrote for beginners ... for instance You need to have great command of mechanism to write easy pieces that also makes sense, didactically, likewise Czerny ...... Ok last piece is actually dull. Agree.. Thanks for posting....

I am very astonished to not see any gurlitt sheet music videos on youtube. I'll probably play some of his nice works! So many likes also show, that there is certain interest for it.

@@PianoScoreVids yeah, good idea to play and upload more of his pieces (but pls avoid cutting remarks or negative comments which I have noticed on most of your posts. Let others decide, especially the piano beginners). 😊 but thanks indeed for posting Gurlitt's composition!

There's a difference between a negative comment and people writing 5 consecutive comments attacking my work and playing. If they come here only to spread negativity then I show them the door. If it's constructive feedback or the one or other negative comment, i have no problem

Pleasant, elegant, charming, really "light" music, however, well written in every respect...But Flowers sometimes had inspired more profound works. The Third is interesting, somehow brahmsian in first part, Heller- like in the second... Very good performance!

Is there a missing first and second ending line just before the key change at 0:33, or is it actually meant to repeat like that?

You said the last piece, “Narcissist“, was annoying because of the repetition. Maybe that was the point of the piece after all. Narcissists always have to be the center of attention and everything is always about them, them, them. Nothing and nobody else matters to them. Maybe that was the point of the piece - to keep repeating the same melodic figure over and over because it symbolizes narcissism and a narcissist. 🙂

Great comment, didn't think about that :) Thanks! Hope you enjoyed the pieces. And what fits even more to this observation, is that the theme is so self-confident and heroic: "Hey look, here I am!"

So nice! Has anyone noticed the 2nd part of Daffodil ressembling this other Gurlitt's piece, in its 2nd part, too? kzitem.info/news/bejne/yqxp1n97n2SKa2U It's as if he had done a variation within 2 different pieces.
