May I ask for the condition of your kidneys post op?
@NursingSchoolExplained
Жыл бұрын
@@milo5411 the surgical team and anesthesiologist do their best to keep the patient well hydrated and BP at a level where it is perfusing the kidneys at an ideal level. All pre-existing conditions (especially kidney issues) are taken into consideration. The overall outcome of the surgery is always dependent on individual factors since every patient has their own medical history.

What is the age limit for CABG ?
@NursingSchoolExplained
Жыл бұрын
I am not aware of a specific age limit. It will depend on the percentage of occlusions and other patient-specific factors, like age, other health issues and co-morbidities. For individualized needs, please check with your provider.

Um, No thanks. I’ll try to find a way to sign a release or waiver telling the docs that I prefer to just pass on rather than go through those first three or four days after surgery.

Point taken! While the first few days post-op may be tough, the procedure could certainly add life expectancy and quality of life. Always make sure to address your concerns and wishes with your health care providers and family!

yes.. I had mine 16 days ago.. first days (esp. ICU stay) were nothing but pure Hell.. now I feel much better but I'm sure I'd never go through something like that again.. it's a torture..
