Oh yeah the schools are notorious for calling the parents and having kids aent to school unless they have a fever above 101* or are throwing up, and will call you hourly until you give a "good enough reason" to miss school. They'll threaten grades, threaten to hold your child back, and threaten truancy. So if this hits the schools we're pretty f**ked as this virus has a long incubation/transference period.

This isn't a political or ethical debate. Yes, everywhere has homeless, however, not every place can say they have a population of tent dwellers. It's not judgement, its truth. The hygiene is not the greatest, add an pandemic and a city on shut down and it becomes your worst nightmare. As far as public schools and government secrets, I couldn't agree more. If this becomes anywhere near the Spanish Flu its going to be catastrophic. Just the NFL game itself and if there were ppl infected there, can you imagine what's going to happen? Here is the latest advice that is being given to Emergency Department clinicians by NSW Health (Australia): '...Take combined nose and throat viral swabs or nasopharyngeal viral swabs; a lower respiratory tract sample (if obtainable) - sputum or an endotracheal tube aspirate; and EDTA blood and serum...' In light of the fact that it has been confirmed that the patient in Washing State had the Coronavirus in his stools, and there is a risk of oral-faecal spread given that 2% of hospital admissions have diarrhoea and faecal particles can potentially be aerosolised even by flushing the toilet, don't you think we should be doing rectal swabs too? Is this being recommended by any other health department? Thanks for the updates, really appreciate it.
@jumbokevin
4 жыл бұрын
There's been evidence that some of these tests are not sensitive enough to detect coronavirus and some patients who were falsely identified as negative later had further testing that came back positive. If nasopharangeal swabs are all it takes for diagnosis, why were GPs refrained from testing their patients until now?

S Anderson Averages are deceptive, and in this case meaningless. Most of the continent is for all practical purposes “uninhabited”. That said, we have one of the highest rates of urbanisation in the world. Most of Australia’s population lives in a few large cities with high population density. There is no reason why a virus wouldn’t be spread (relatively) rapidly n a city of 2 million people. Also, since the distances between major centres and smaller regional centres is large, air travel is used a,lot in Australia- an excellent means of spread. As for “take it like an Aussie, not a pussy”... That is one of the more idiotic things I’ve heard on this topic.

@dickmelsonlupot7697

@@northrockboy Not that much. The virus won't penetrate your skin and is pretty much useless for the general public since most people don't have the mental aptitude and muscle memory to control their movements thereby ending up touching their faces or other stuff while using their gloves and when they do remove the gloves, they would still end up using the objects they touched while using the gloves. So in essence, it's pretty much useless. Gloves are only useful in a lab or hospitals where the doctors/nurses/whatever would immediately throw them away after an operation/check-up/whatever or if they go outside the "containment area".

I can be 3 days without fever and simultaneously negative for the virus, meaning... 3 days. C) Patients could come into hospital in bad shape and a late stage of the disease and then recover with a few days of treatment. D) Those were documented cases, not all cases in existence. Just like now, there are likely many cases that aren't recorded because people with mild symptoms aren't admitted to hospital.

Customers poo on the floor pee in the seat yet the first ones to bitch about missing paper towels if customers would stop being pigs we would be able to better manage the freaken loo!!

She already has reduced lung function and is on oxygen due to a run-in with an antibiotic resistant bacteria a few years ago. I wish I could lock her up, but right now she's got followup appointments with a TON of different specialists. Every time she goes to a doctor appointment, she's risking her life. smh

@ikulata3408
4 жыл бұрын
As i know of alcohol 'brakes down' corona. I mean since the virus is just a RNA... And RNA brakes down with alcohol... So if your sanitizer has some alcohol (which most of them do) yea.. You'll be fine with a hand sanitizer
@ikulata3408
4 жыл бұрын
Okay a fix: alcohol does not break down the RNA but it takes away lipids and proteins from it. And you can't get effected from just the RNA, because the parts that invade your cells are broken apart from the RNA with alcohol.
