Oops are a great tool to learn new things and explore new techniques. Also to expand our creativity!! Thank you for showing your creative ooops 😂😂 🎉🎉.

Exactly. I’ve always felt that it’s important to show what to do when you have an oops and not just the perfect projects. Mistakes happen. 🤷♀️

Oops are not how I want to learn things but seem to forget that detail pretty frequently! Good video, thank you! I did add your location to my weather app on the phone and it does tell me your current time. One of your other watchers suggested that a few weeks ago and it was a good suggestion! 😊

It was a very helpful tip. I add my kids locations in my weather app too. Living in Florida weather was always a popular topic of conversation. Right now there’s not much to talk about here. Blue skies and bright suns 😎

😊😊We all make OOPS. Thanks for your trick. When I Ooped on this the first time, I just took my kite shaped pieces and made a scrappy crazy mug rug. 😅😊😊 Safe trip to airport. 😊

Thanks! I would have made mug rug or similar too but there were too many ooops pieces and I wanted to use the fabric as part of bundle.

I love these blocks because they look like sails. You’ve demonstrated the correct way to sew these together but my brain cannot understand why sewing rectangles together is different than sewing squares together. I made some paper rectangles and see that you are absolutely correct but my brain refuses to accept it. I’m going to have to cut out and sew some rectangles to make my brain understand the why and wherefore. Thank you for baffling me and making me smarter.

I cut out paper rectangles too 🤣. It still baffles my brain and I almost sewed them incorrectly yet again 🙄. It just feels so wrong.

I try to appreciate each oops when I am making something as an opportunity to improvise. If I cannot fix the oops for the intended project, I nearly always find a way to make something else with it. This brought to mind one oops in particular. I wanted to make a loose, but warm, cover-up jacket based on a Japanese happi coat. It was based on rectangular pattern pieces so I decided to weave the pieces using continuous strand weaving using a multi-color yarn that my mom liked. I connected the pieces by hand sewing with the same yarn. Unfortunately, the result was too large for my mom. Because all four edges of each rectangle were selvage edges and the fabric weave was fairly loose, cutting the fabric wasn't an option. So I unstitched the seams and resewed the rectangles to make a flat lap blanket instead. My mom said that she actually got more use from it as a blanket than she would have as a jacket to wear during chemo. ❤

Oops! Yeah, i don't cut a whole quilt out at once. Unless its a kit; sometimes u gotta do that and trust them lol.

Kits can be dangerous. Sometimes you have extra fabric but mostly you have to be very careful with your cuts.

Instead of oops say it’s a design element and it got your attention
