i knew that actinomyces, like streptomyces, can form spores

Actinomyces are non spore forming

0:22 Mhm, my colleague had during his practical exam in pediatrics a case of diphtheria (antivaxxer mom), was fun bcs diphtheria = taught in ID (which we didn't have at that time) So yeah, very unlikely but better know it xD

Almost everything is more common in children, probably due to their not fully developed immune system.

@@dr.nikolov hmmm I am actually not too sure if it's rly more common in children or if it's just (bcs of the smaller diameters of the airways) more severe and hence more doc visits
