I'm from Brazil and I finished high school 3 years ago and it's very funny to see some math again after all this time!! Congratulations on the videos

Eddie Woo, can you do some more videos on geometry for a medium-advanced level? Geometry is my kryptonite.

Hey , you have got calculators , but in india we are not allowed to do so even in class!so annoying but it has made our calculations fast enough!

I didnt get how we got 2П/3. I mean , how you turned -1/2 into this number

I like your creative use of the Cyrillic equivalent of P to represent pi. Given an angle in the mathematician's convention called standard position, which is counter-clockwise from +x, the cosine will return the x-coordinate of the point on the unit circle at this angle. Given that cosine(theta) = -1/2, this means we need an angle that identifies a point with x-coordinate of -1/2. Start at (-1/2, 0) and proceed upward to where the unit circle crosses this x-position (not to be confused with exposition). We now can form a triangle with the radius line to this point, which is by definition equal in length to 1 unit, the y-axis, and length on the opposite side of the angle from the x-axis, which is 1/2 units in length. Now we have a right triangle with a leg equal to half the hypotenuse, which is our special case of a 30-60-90 right triangle. The 30 degrees is opposite the side that is 1/2 the hypotenuse. Add this 30 degrees to the 90 degrees from the x-axis to the y-axis, and that gives you 120 degrees. Also known as, 2*pi/3 radians, when you multiply 120 deg * pi rad/ 180 deg to convert the units.

@@saikat38 I was just wondering.; I am in the third year of my high school and studying things far tougher than this I mean far I am studying dynamics statics differentiation integration linear algebra combinatorics and more just for maths tho I am from Africa😂

@@mit4539 i mean it also depends on the difficulty of your study thing or class. I had a friend and he only got the sinus during Math, not even cosinus or whatever. One day when i complained about math he said he found it easy and he wanted to help me. I showed him my books and i laughed way too hard because it was basicly way over his head Edit; Sinu and cosinu? I think i used Dutch names earlier

@@TheSuperhoden I understand you; but really our curriculum in Egypr"I am from Egypt by the way" is so difficult to understand and it is comparable to other curricula in developed countries like America but the sad part is that our teachers do not even understand it because it was presumably translated from English textbooks without taking into consideration the mentality of students and even teachers. I stopped taking classes and I have learned English so that I can get a better understanding of the material as there are awesome guys and professors from America available on KZitem. And now I am preparing for IPHO hoping to win a medal and I am gonna try my luck and apply for a good college in America because our education is poor.

@@TheSuperhoden You friend reminds me of my teachers when I told them that I do not understand some points they will take it easy and come up with silly intuitions to convince me and when I am not convinced they wanna fight me😂

A point is fundamental. Euclid calls it "that which has no part." Start there. Reject desensitization.
