@@meetthesmiths9584can’t wait to visit your beautiful island next week. I am traveling with 2 friends to stay free in boss’s condo but we all have limited budgets so tour of grocery was very interesting as we plan to cook rather than eating out. We do hope to find some good local food. We’re not your typical deep pockets tourist and plan to spend our time exploring and enjoying the beaches.

Hello! Welcome and thank you for the feedback. Unfortunately, there are currently no local market as it relates to local produce or products. However, the government recently built a farmers market where farmers and other stakeholdersholders of the agri. Industry can gather and sell their produce or products to consumers. The launch of the market will be in July and I will do a video of that event because various stakeholders (farmers, etc.) will be there, thank you.

Ouch! Everything costs 3 times more than Canada. Isn’t Sunny foods considered one of the cheapest grocery stores on the Island? I live in Ottawa Ontario where I thought prices were high until I saw this video. I was recently in Aruba and everything was double the price compared to Canada but the Turks is even costlier. Aruba is an island that does not grown anything as it is a dry climate so they import everything hence the higher prices . Is that why the food is so expensive in the Turks? I couldn’t vacation there unless I starve. How in the world do the locals afford to eat properly? Great video and thank you for listing prices. 👍☺️

Hello, thank you for sharing this information. Yes, Sunny Foods is amongst the cheaper supermarkets generally but prices of varying items spikes really high sometimes. Like a few months ago egg prices sky rocketed right across the board. Turks and Caicos Islands is a small island and relies heavily on imports as well which will influences price similarly to other countries that base food consumption on imports. I think everyone should have a backyard garden if they can to supplement food consumption and reduce monies spent to buy food. Thanks again for your comment- Cheers.
