My husband and I traveled from Idaho to Aqua Verde……..traveling for 101 days total. We paid for 95% of our camp sites and our rough average of the whole trip we figured to be about $77 a day. That included in some expensive RV spots in the US. Of course that is not what we spent daily…….. Personally, I don’t think that is too bad. But would like to do more Boondocking in the future.

Yesss we’ve found boondocking to be a great way of saving money on the road but paid grounds are always such a nice treat also. Sounds like you had an amazing road trip!

I have never been to Mexico, so have no idea what the costs are there. I find it interesting to hear your comments and thoughts on what you do (and the costs are an instructive inclusion) on such days. Thank you!

A week's worth of food/water or less? Also, what's less expensive vs more expensive there vs at home? Regardless of costs, you have a wonderful camp spot and it's so much better than staying at a hotel/resort. Gas price was a bit of a surprise, well diesel price. I've heard fuel is more expensive there. Here in northern California, my local gas is 4.78 us/gal (~1.25/L)

Yes! Roughly a weeks worth of food & on this day we paid for about 2-3 days worth of water as it was just a top up! I’d say it really varies! In terms of groceries, if you shop for mainly local produce/brands at smaller tiendas it tends to be cheaper in Mexico (but certain imported goods can be much more expensive). Fuel is more expensive here then in Canada as well. The rest I would say is pretty comparable between both countries. Overall, we think it’s so worth the trip 🚐🇲🇽

No..lose the pedo stach 😅.. prices seem same as Canada. Dog food is killing dogs... maybe not practical to cook his food but van city vanlife does raw meat for cruzy .. I get pork and beef scrap from my local meat butcher and beef kidneys ...tuna sardines kidney beans oats rice veg. Something to think about for your first child there. ❤

Hahaha I (Jo) am with ya on the stach!! & oh man, I wish more then anything that we could cook Mowgli’s food in the van but we just don’t have the fridge space unfortunately. The kibble we choose here is locally made with wholesome ingredients though so we do our best and will hopefully upgrade from kibble in the near future 🧡
