Serbia is faraway from perfect country, like Switzerland or Singapoure. But, depends what you like. This places you saw in the video looks just like you see it on video, we have bunch of places like this in any city and town. But, as any country in Balcan and Europe generaly, we have different, not so nice places. Extreme unclean and dirthy places, you will not find them here. Maybe some public closet in some smaller town or something. About prices, prices are cheaper then this guy says in video. I mean on food, apartments, bus tickets,... Depends of location, company, owner, city,... You can eat exellent lunch for 10 euros for two persons in very nice restaurant in Belgrade, but you must first chek internet for prices and places, where to eat hq food for small amount of money. The same roule for apartments. I know 3 american couples, they get apartments just 2km from city center, suepr modern, nice and clean for 20-25 usd per night.

The costs of living in a smaller city like Subotica or Novi Sad can be even lower, like 2-3 times less than the prices you'd pay for the same necessities in Belgrade. For example in Subotica or in some suburbs of Novi Sad you can rent a nice apartment or a small house for like 100 - 200 $/month. If you can afford to spend 800$ a month you can live like a king in this country. The people are friendly, kind, generous and hospitable, The architecture is great. Some historical buildings had been built centuries ago. The nature is beautiful especially during late spring, summer and early autumn as well. It's best to buy fresh food products in the market because the prices of vegetables, fruits, meat and dairy products are even lower in the markets than in the shops and malls.

@@verakupusovic8926 I know I can't. That would be an unfair comparison. Still, I must say Subotica is one of the most beautiful smaller cities in Serbia. It has a lot of those a 100-150 years old buildings built in the secession architectural style during the austro-hungarian monarchy. Personally what I really love about Subotica are its green parks, beautiful streets with lots of trees planted on both sides, old buildings, its nearby village Palic and the Palic lake. I lived in Novi Sad for about 5-6 years and have visited Belgrade a couple of times so far. Love those cities, too, especially Novi Sad, but I must say Subotica is in my opinion more beautiful than Novi Sad and Belgrade. It's just my opinion, which is probably a biased one, because I've lived here my whole life.

Yes, they are VERY patriotic and of course there are the usual bad Apple's among them but I never think of Serbia without a warm feeling. ( PS. This was at a time when Yugoslavia still existed and I came to know Macedonians , Croats , Bosnians , ALL nationalities who made up Yugoslavia back then and I liked them all . !!
