Beautiful shots, you brought back a lot of memories. In 1996, I visited Costa Rica with a small tour group (7 people), which was my one visit to the tropics (I hope to make a few more in the upcoming years). We started out by driving from San Jose to San Gerardo de Dota, where we managed to see 2 quetzals and marvel at the high altitude rain forest. We then continued south, and visited the home of Alexander Skutch and his wife, and observed birds in his yard with them, continued on to Playa Dominical, where we did several river walks, marveling at the toucans, iguanas and many other birds. Next we got in a small boat, and cut across the Pacific ocean to Drake Bay, where we stayed for the last three days at the Drake Bay Wilderness Resort, seeing almost exactly the same things that you saw. Costa Rica is a place that everyone should visit.

I've just watched all four episodes of your Costa Rica trip and loved them. I spent two weeks in Costa Rica some years ago when I was using Canon. I also stopped there last year while on a World cruise. For the second visit I was using Fuji cameras. I now have an OM-1 and the 150-400mm f4.5 TC and now really wish that I'd had them for both of my visits. Thanks a lot for producing your videos which I always find interesting and very enjoyable. Keep the good work up.

Thank you for another wonderful video of Costa Rica, the wildlife diversity is amazing. Can’t wait to see video 5 of your trip, so jealous! I also have a TG-6 (along with my EM-5 III), it’s such a fun and rugged little camera.

Wow! What a trip you're having!! So much amazing wildlife ❤ Loved the Sloth! The snorkelling trip would have been fabulous. I love sea turtles so that would have been a real highlight. The birds in Costa Rica are just sensational too. So different to ours in Australia but equally unusual and colourful

Hi Espen another great video👍🏻, the shot of leaves just before you cut to the sloth, is that what the leaf cutter ants have done? And to see a sleeping Tapir … wow! 🙂
@EspenHelland

Thank you Peter, I’m not sure what did that, but I think it might be something else as the ants seem to cut differently.

Heron was beautiful. Can you describe your low light process for under canopy photography like this.

Thank you Dylan 🙂 I tended to go for very slow shutter speeds to get a low iso. Sometimes id get a safe shot with faster shutter and then bring it down and take more images at lower iso.

I enjoyed that, some lovely detail and colours. Costa Rica looks like a photographers dream location. Two questions if you don’t mind: 1. Was this trip arranged by a third party company or were you doing it independently. 2. Are the mozzies a problem!
@EspenHelland

Thank you very much. I was thinking I’d do one more video on my gear and recce etc. I did it myself, though hired a guide occasionally and joined some organised day trips. The mosquitos were bad in some places especially the really humid places I went. I got a few bites, but except from itching didn’t bother me that much.
