I did the Constance Spry certificate course in England years ago. When you introduced weeds as fillers, you captured the essence of her (then revolutionary) style. Mrs. Spry created all the floral arrangements for the Queen’s Coronation in 1953. Her cookery and floral courses are still taught today in Windsor! 🙋♀️👍👏👏👏💕‼️

My mother loved flowers. She would bring them inside from the yard and fill every vase she had. She used flower frogs. I inherited some of her vases and frogs. One day, I placed a metal round pin frog in the bottom of a vase and couldn't get my hand all the way to the bottom. Much like you did with one of your pin frogs. I dropped it, breaking the bottom of the thin glass vase. I've since learned to be very careful with precious vases and flower frogs. I love your channel.

I found this particular video to be so lovely, soothing and relaxing. I sat down to rest after the completion of a four day project. I need to check something via internet and thought...well I will set my weary self down and sit for a while.. I saw this and decided to watch now - rather than tonight. Oh my...this is delightful. I kept dozing off. Mea Culpa. NO, Jeri this was not boring. I was just exhausted and the lovely flowers and your sweet voice...worked better than a lullaby. I will be watching this video again. Thank you. I have a whole 55 gal. water barrel, full of tadpoles maturing into Real Frogs . I rescue the escapees that manage to hop out of three inch opening on top. I relocate them to my "future" pond where the ground cistern was located, outside from the kitchen door backstairs...of my 85 yr old house. I like to use flower frogs in various ways too. May you be blessed and rewarded for sharing so much of yourself with us.

What a wonderful collection! When you're collecting, do you find times when you walk away from something and it seems to haunt you with regret later for not taking it home with you? That happened to me a couple weeks ago, when in fact, I passed an opportunity to get two clear glass flower frogs at a thrift store. I didn't really need them, and they cost a bit more than I wanted to pay at that moment, so I walked away. But then they've kept coming back to my mind. And here you are with a whole video about them! I have a small collection of mostly the pin style and the clear glass style. I cannot remember the last time I actually used one, but now I'm inspired. I really like your collection! Besides flower frogs do you have any Pansy Rings? Maybe some Tulipiere vases? You have the most wonderful collections!! Thank you so much for sharing this with us, and your beautiful flower arrangements. I honestly have almost nothing left to bloom in my yard after this terrible summer. But God has blessed me with wildflowers. I made a huge arrangement recently out of just two stalks of Snow on the Mountain. There are a few wild sunflowers too. But it truly is "slim pickins" right now. Guess I need to take a walk and look a bit closer. --But now I have to have one of those Carnival glass frogs!! Thank you again for this wonderful distraction!

Oh yes, that does happen. I once walked away from a huge needlework Sampler in the antique shop... it was TOO expensive. I thought about it for quite some time. A few months later I went to the same shop and it had been marked down by 3/4, so I brought it home for a mere pittance! I have only one pansy ring and no tulip vases... they are always pricey. I hope to find one at a bargain price someday.

Lovely as always Jeri. Thank you. I have an off topic question I've been wanting to ask you for a long time. I have noticed in some of your videos your absolutely gorgeous hair braid. I am so envious!! I am trying to grow my hair and have been for several years now. I have used a couple of different Victorian era treatments on my hair. I apply rosemary tea weekly for one. The Victorian era was when women grew their hair to the floor!! My question is: Would you mind telling me how you take care of your hair? Do you do anything special on a regular basis? It's so beautiful and thick. You certainly don't have to share anything at all with me but if you don't mind I would be very grateful! ❤

No Problem, I would be happy to tell you that I do very little for my hair. I shampoo once a week with Pantene, have used it for years. When I was younger I colored my hair, but once I stopped doing that, my hair became much healthier and thicker and grew very quickly. I often say that my thick, long hair is the last of my youth, because I just turned 70 yrs old a day ago.
