Britannia fruitcake has many childhood memories associated with it! That multicolor tutti frutti has always excited all of us, but since they were not eggless fruit cakes, we rarely got to eat them! This is a great full proof recipe that brings out nostalgia.
The ingredients for this incredible tea cake are as follows:-
Baking Time and Temperature:- 170°C for 30-35 mins in a preheated oven.
For non oven Baking Instructions:-Take a Cooker or a deep vessel and place salt or sand at the base of the vessel. Then place a stand and then preheat the vessel just like we preheat the oven. Then place your baking tin and check in 30 mins.
Cake tin size: 8*2.5 inches
Butter: ½ cup or 100 gms
Powdered Sugar: ½ cup or 75 gms
Essence of choice: few drops
Curd: 120 gms or ½ cup
AP Flour/Maida: 138 gms or 1.25 cups
Milk Powder: 33 gms or ¼ cup
Baking Powder: 1 tsp
Baking soda: ½ tsp
Milk: ¼ Cup
Tutti Fruiti: 30 gms/¼ Cup
Nuts for garnish
