Jesus knew no sin, because he chose to obey the Father and never commit a sin, desire having the shirt to do so. Christ was peccable, not impeccable. The problem with making Christ impeccable is that would never have felt the pain of temptation and he would not have successfully crucified our cursed sinful flesh on the cross, as his flesh would not have had sin within it to be defeated as the ultimate atoning lamb. A peccable Christ is a true Hero and Savior.

I'm trying to figure out how he got, "Jesus was made like us but was without sin" from the scripture he quoted at the beginning Heb. 2:4
@TimMatthews-m8j

He said Hebrews 2 and 4, possibly referring to Heb 2:18 For because he himself has suffered when tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted. And obviously referring to Heb_4:15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.

Saying that sin temptation was harder for Christ and at the same time saying he was not able to sin (impeccable) is a contradiction. Makes zero sense and does not flow logically. You need to read Romans 7 again. Wretched man that I am. We can and must rule over sin that crouches at the door. Genesis 4 per Cains experience.

Amen. Christ was peccable yet blameless. Though he felt the pangs of temptation within his single human flesh, he never gave into its desires. A peccable Christ is a true hero and redeemer.

I have a question, Jesus is God and is perfect. When he was tempted by Satan isn't that the equivalent of an ant tempting a human being?

Where in the Bible does it say the nature of human beings was changed after the fall? I always hear this from reformed folks but it seems like more of a presupposition than something that can be proven by scripture.

@@Orangeokie7 sinful nature and death is the fallen nature that we changed into when Adam sin. Rather than having the nature of God. @@completoencristo I realize death came about by sin but where do you get sinful nature? I'm still not seeing that. It doesn't even make sense because Adam and Eve desired to sin, where did their nature come from?

@@Orangeokie7 it says from one man’s offense sin entered the world then from sin came death. By the disobedience of the man , sin entered in him and spread to all. Adam did his own will , he did not do the will of The Father , which is obedience to Him. So Adam and Eve did have their own will , but their will and the devil tempting them , was there fall.. because they did not believe what GOD told them. Which was to obey Him. “Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned-” Romans 5:12 I’m not very eloquent because English is not my first language , but I hope you understand bro God willing.

If Jesus could not have sinned, then the temptations in the wilderness were a farse. Secondly, He could not be our example in every way. The Bible states that God cannot be tempted to do evil, Yet Jesus, who is God, was tempted "like as we are" (Hebrews 4:15). It really does matter because it proves that if we trust in Jesus as He trusted in the Father, we too can live a life in this sinful world free from sin. The Bible expects us to live a life free from sin, and anyone who says otherwise is from the devil. See Rev 3:21, 1John 3:2-10. God's law can be kept because Jesus, as a man (100% human), kept it. Jesus came to show what man can accomplish by totally depending on God. This is the essence of the gospel. If you can be tempted, it means there is a possibility of succumbing. The Bible states that Jesus had a fallen human nature (He took the nature of Adam/Abraham after the fall (Romans 8:3, Heb 2:14-18). Had He not a fallen nature, He could not have been tempted like as we are and be subjected to death and all the other things that we are subjected to.

Adam hadn’t a sinful nature too. Like Jesus. Both had a own will. Both took their own decisions. Adam decided to not stay in god but Jesus remained in god. The only way to fulfill the law and to save us is, that Jesus is not god himself. Basic theology. Doesn’t make sense, that Jesus is god.
