Grants miles ahead of Rick as far as ball striking and consistency. Kids swing is like butter, its amazing. He is only 25 yrs old to be fair but i thought exactly the same as this comment…he even said the CBs arent nearly as forgiving or long, which is crazy but thats what it is. I find myself scratching my head a bit while reading the comments. Rick is an exceptional player and KZitem Icon. I seriously doubt that any of the commenters are in a position to be giving Rick advice…..especially on club selection since so much of choosing a club is feel and confidence which no one can measure those attributes for Rick while watching a video. Frankly, I don’t give a crap what any player chooses for a club and would not assign a higher value to a club just because a certain pro plays with them. Furthermore, I would not expect a club that works great for a pro (or an average player) to work well for me. That’s what fittings are for. I enjoy watching the club reviews and some give me some inspiration but I wouldn’t go out and buy a set just because someone else likes them. Reviews are simply another point of reference. If ALL the reviewers came out and agreed that a specific club was the best they had ever tested, it would certainly get my attention and that brand would surely go to the top of my list for testing….but I would not just buy a set of clubs based on the opinions of all the KZitem content creators no matter how much praise the club received across the board. Swing what you want, Rick. I value your opinion (and your videos) more than most.

Hey Rick, I think if you'd throttle back a bit you'd gain a lot more control and consistency with your irons -- probably get rid of that big hook you seem to come up with now and then. That being said, like any better than average golfer you can play pretty much any irons you like. All the little tweaks and forgiveness features won't mean a lot to the quality of your typical strike.

Beauty must definitely be "in the eye of the beholder". I think these are just plain old ugly (from the back). They look clunky, and there is way too much 'going on' with different lines, angles, depths, shapes and textures. They score 0 in shelf appeal, for me. And since the performance differential between clubs (within a given 'category') from all manufacturers is so minimal these days, you should play whatever delivers the look and feel you prefer. I won't judge you for playing crappy looking clubs 😉😅

TaylorMade absolutely missed the mark on these CBs. They put “PROTO” on the P770 and they look great. Did the same with these CBs and they look terrible. I know the back of the club does nothing but they are so ugly I wouldn’t even put them in my bag. Let alone, the review didn’t even inspire confidence they perform. If I wanna hit mediocre shots for the same price, I’m going Titleist CBs cus at least I’ll look good doing it. TaylorMade missed the mark on these. If you go TM, P770 and above are their only hits.

Looks great Rick. I wonder if you mapped out the numbers of all irons you have hit across the last 5 years on GC quad, would it be obvious that the technology has changed to improve the average golfer. I feel like if i had titleist irons like DCIs from early 2000s, AP 2018 series and now the latest Tseries or TM equivalent, would the average 6 to 12 hcapper get 1000 euro worth of improvement 😊

I think for the long time subs, they're wanting to see Rick stick to some clubs that are going to bring some consistency to his game. A new set always entails re-adjustments that seldom result in immediate lower scores. Anyway, if you got the money, buy all the clubs you want. If it doesnt improve your score card... you at least will finally have to admit the problem is YOU and not the equipement.

How many of you play on a course where you want to carry a 4 iron 201 yards, land 3 yards short of the green and get 21 yards of roll out? Why not set up a realistic green with a bunker to the right or left and a slightly pitched green that is receptive to long irons for these tests. I mainly see a mix of decent, rather poor and good strikes that all end up in roughly that same area of the green. The courses I play would stop a shot short of the green almost dead because there is some elevation to carry. You rarely can bounce an approach shot and get a good roll out. Plus, a well struck long iron should go high and have sufficient descent angle to help stop the ball. Is there a bigger scam going in golf than new clubs or iron sets from the main club makers?
