Hotels cost a lot today and so does going out to eat everyday. This could take you on longer trips and make more memories. I wouldn't get this van in particular, I'd make something custom to fit my needs and far more luxurious + comfortable.

@@Steven-e7c Not for that amount of money! Hotels aren’t THAT bad. I have a long RV (tow behind) that doesn’t cost NEARLY as much and yields the same results with more space! That’s over half of a house payment!
@Steven-e7c
2 жыл бұрын
@@faithwalker2287 I'm more of city guy and hotels are between $300-$500 a night for something decent. Unless I plan on leaving the city, there's no room or RVs aren't allowed. Trust me, I know cause I own an RV myself and know the hassles. There's just places vans can take you where it's impossible or large vehicles aren't allowed. People complain about generator noise etc and there's laws for hours. Even the latest RVs and Trailers don't have unlimited showers and hot water using an advanced shower loop system. Plus they don't have much battery power and usually run on old fashioned AGM or even worse, lead acid batteries 😒. I don't like being plugged in all the time just to have utilities and spending more money on leasing an RV spot. On a Van you can put 1k amp hours @12v with Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries and most van roofs have hard metal ribs which easily hold the weight of solar panels equalling 1k watts of incoming power. Add a 3k watt inverter and you can run nearly anything electrical a residental home would need. With the newer Cinderella Toilet coming out later this year, thankfully dumps will be a thing of the past (except for just ash in dish). Another expense is paying for RV storage when it's not in use. None of these pre-made vehicle or trailers are made for all 4 seasons either. RV life is completely different from Van life, whether it's temporary or permanent. The only downside is the amount of living space. But this can also be a benefit as it gives us an excuse to get out and explore 😃.
@faithwalker2287
2 жыл бұрын
@@Steven-e7c I just read up about the Cinderella toilet. It sounds interesting. Ingenuity! However, financially those small, highly overpriced cans are not going to fit more than a couple. So, that would only serve one person or a couple full time. Good for that dynamic group but at some point, the vehicle will have to be serviced and sometimes for longer than a few days so hotels will likely be used at some point or another. For those who don’t mind moving around constantly, it’s perfect but I’ve had my fill of moving every 3 years for 20 years and a vacation is one thing but I’ve always wanted my roots to grow deep and strong.

@allaboutroofing2

It's says how much at the end. MRRP is 105K, but says will sell for much less, so likely around 90K..for more detailed pricing call as instructed. All RVs have a hose hookup for fresh water that screws in like a sprinkler would and also has a holding tank for boondocking. Sewer hoses hook up by turn 1/4 turn, but you only hook up sewer drain to dump since it has a black holding tank. Leveling is done by driving up on ramps if it's way off, or using the built in levelers for more moderate leveling. He's a RV salesman, so how to videos are unlikely unless it's how to buy an RV. Cheers.

@@lesleylesley5821 Can't you put several shutoff valves in? So, it leaks, and you just hunt down the leak.

It’s designed super well. N space wasted, has everything you could need and an open concept so there is more room t move around without bumping into things. The cost completely eliminates the whole Shebang though as an option for most people!!!

Good lord I was definitely about to say those 2 requirements lol. And the 50k ish thing I'm not sure who they're trying to appeal to here but there's no way..if it's the crowd that can afford it, are missing Jason's items above and it's not nice enough to to be in that group. Sell for utility and mid/upscale living, small vacas, and it's waaay too expensive.

It's all about what you can tow behind it. And when you buy it, #1 rule, never buy new! #2 the trailer with capacity for a 2 person scooter or e bikes makes a huge difference. Because disconnecting from your base to get around is huge. a well equipped trailer can be turned into a comfortable Room(s) addition.

I follow some one who has this. Low mileage, still under warranty. But... Her van broke down. It was a nightmare to try to find any tow company to tow it...too heavy! also, she couldn't find anyone to work on it or find anyone to even look at it for 3-4 min waiting period. So. Like an RV... You need to think about all this BEFORE you sink your money into this. It is a cool set up, but, have an operating/emergency back up fund of a min of $1000. If this is your home, you need an emergency fund

There’s a reason why people who choose VanLife tend to build their own…it’s so they don’t end up looking like generic boomer rv’s. This thing looks almost as comfortable as a geriatric hospital room. And all the soul of an Oldsmobile Alero.
