100%. My keyboard's got bruises. The amount of time I've had to close down the program because I don't know how to fix the problem I'm having at that moment is to much to count on my fingers, feet and balls. Basically more than 22 times ⚽️ ⚽️

I have been watching probably over a 100 basic hammer tutorials over the past few weeks. All of them are boring to watch and I find myself skipping around allot. This is the only one that felt like we were just hanging out, learning to map and having fun. Please please continue this, make it a series. It's totaly awesome, thank you 😊

Please do mate. You have a nack for teaching and the format is excellent. The trend now a days is to make shorter videos, but it does not fit when learning how to map in hammer. I have seen videos titled things like "water in hamer in 29 seconds" but then I'll have to watch and search 20+ videos from different creators to get somewhere. Watching you is so valuable because you get small tips and tricks in between the creation. I, for example, did not know you could hold shift and drag to select😅. I also watched your camping video in Utah from a year ago. Looked beautiful, made me want to do the same here in Sweden. Have been thinking of going out solo aswell, so the "What's WRONG with you??" comment/reaction made me laugh cause it was just so rude😂 I went backpacking for 14 months solo, that was a bit overkill but I miss that freedom. The backrooms video was fun too! Looking forward to more uploads❤

Wanted to put out a sort of, walkthrough tutorial on putting together something that looks like it 'belongs' in Counter Strike 2. Source 2 was hard to pick up at first so watching someone just bumble through the process would've been helpful for me, hopefully it will be helpful for you! Not perfect, would've done a few things slightly different, but its here. Let me know if you have any questions! See you in de_Mission once I release it for CS2!

The style of these videos is really good - i feel alot of others make assumptions and just crack on with unrealistic structures. The laid back style shown could def be a series you could consider :)

I know Vis has issues with things less than 8 units. Is that on an mash or face level though? like the two height face on the planter. did that end up causing issues?

In my program it doesnt show the tool properties on the left side of the screen. Can you tell me how I activate that window? I´ll try to figure it out, but maybe you can help. Would be awesome! When you're doing the dirt for the planters, you note that your method in the video is the lazy and dirty way, implying that there's a more proper and correct way of doing it. You have no n-gons on the 2nd planter, it's 4 separate quads on a mesh and appears (to me) to be good topology. You're not rendering any faces that will never be visible to the player either. What exactly is done wrong in this scenario? Thank you.

Is sometimes better to fuse surfaces to fix n-gons ?
@Dredile

Yes as long as its not still connected to the other surfaces with edge loops in that mesh. If its separate, sure. ALT+N to isolate it as a mesh.

Why do you make an outside skybox instead of making the sky box connect to all your buildings?
@Dredile

I only do that at the very end because buildings change during dev. Also it hardly matters and was a Source 1 thing

the cs2 tool is so inconsistent. I've had nothing but issues with it bugging out for zero reason since I started with it. I have like 2000+ hours of source hammer and 4000+ hours of gold source. I like some of the features of cs2's editor but it just seems unreliable and like they streamlined things and removed options that they didn't need to.

Hmm, not sure why sorry to hear that! Otherwise I'm a big fan of it after building out a full map to completion. I wouldn't want to go back to Hammer 1

@@Dredile I wonder if maybe it's a config or something that's incorrect? I have no clue. I have a lot of lighting bugs and texture application issues when modifying meshes. I guess i'll stick to watching your videos instead haha
