I'm glad you reacted to this mixed version of Courtney's full performance; it shows more of her persona and stage presence. AGT's Howie Mandel and Simon Cowell told the legendary Clive Davis that Courtney embodied the spirit of Janis Joplin, his first of many famous musical discoveries. Davis then personally called and invited Courtney to OPEN his tribute show, which indeed was a big deal, with many celebrity artists singing great past hits. That orchestra behind her is probably the most renowned in the world performing modern popular music instead of just classical, the New York Pops Orchestra. This was a sudden unexpected change in the trajectory of Courtney's career, and was her first live stage performance in years; she killed it! Her producer/co-songwriter, Kevin Bowe, accompanied her. This momentous occasion gave Courtney the opportunity to return to America, and, going to Kevin's studio after Carnegie Hall, to finally complete songs for her debut original album!

You mention how good she really is. I picture it this way. Most of us have had friends or acquaintances we know who could sing. We'd listen to them singing songs at a party, campfire, etc. Lots of them sound great while accompanied with a guitar or other instrument. Take that instrument away and some of them sound good without it. Every once in a long while you hear someone who's voice sounds so incredible you want to tell everyone about them. Then add in her persona and how she performs with all her passion while singing and all the vocal details she embellishes while singing that mostly other vocalists or people really into music would catch on to right away, and we get a real prodigy to look forward too. That would be Courtney. There's a lot of really good singers out there, but very few that I'm aware of who possess all of those qualities and can entertain an audience on such a large scale like she can. And you'll definitely want to check out Courtney on vacation on her birthday in Turkey doing Karaoke, singing "Proud Mary" as Clinton mentions. kzitem.info/news/bejne/kZeAuqGcsIOTqnY

Hi. Simply spectacular by Courtney. I don’t know if you could tell at the end of the video, but she brought all of Carnegie Hall to their feet in a standing ovation with this incredible performance. In response to some of your questions. Clive Davis knew of Courtney and thought she would be the perfect artist to represent Janis Joplin at this tribute to his career. Janis was his first signee. So he called Courtney personally and asked her to perform. It has been a while since Courtney has been live on stage. That makes what she did here even more amazing. Two days ago was the six year anniversary of the broadcast of her AGT golden buzzer performance. Since AGT, and her signing, Courtney has gone through hell trying to get her own original music out. First, her label tried to turn her into something she didn’t want to be. Another pop princess. Can you imagine that magnificent.voice being limited to Pop. Courtney stood her ground. Then, of course, Covid shut everybody down, and delayed her album release for over two years. Then her label was sold, creating even more chaos. So, it wasn’t until the start of 2023, when she went independent, that she’s been able to start releasing her own incredible music. As to being live on stage, the last time, prior to this performance, was in 2019, when Courtney did a Christmas performance, and also appeared with Little Steven (Steven Van Zandt of Springsteen’s E-Street band). She needs to get more of her original music out, but I’m guessing that the live shows will follow her album drop. You noted some of the things that make Courtney so special, beyond her once in a lifetime talent. One is how humble she has remained, despite all of the fame she has achieved. You will never see a more genuine and authentic person. Also, the incredible respect she has for all of the musical greats that have come before her, and inspired her. I may say something like how great Courtney is, but you will never hear comments like that from Courtney. It’s just not who she is as a person. A complete class act.

Thank you for another great reaction to another great Courtney Hadwin performance! Don't feel too bad about this one sneaking up on you, it snuck up on everybody, including Courtney😃 Even if you were a 2nd or 3rd tier member of her KZitem channel, and got some private hints she dropped, you'd have to read some outside websites and connect the dots to know what was going on more than a month ahead of time. That's about the time the two youngest artists went from "more artists to be named" to the official list on the press releases, Courtney and the guy playing the scarecrow in The Wiz on Broadway🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Courtney spilled the beans about the same time.

A great reaction to Courtney, as always. That's what I love about this version of her Carnegie Hall performance, the introduction. Her acknowledgement of the greats in modern music which she respects. It really does show that she has the heart of a true artist, and has much love and respect for those who paved the way. And your question at the end regarding those other videos, yes, you should definitely react to that Hampton performance, but it is a compellation of many songs, and quite a long video.
