The entire group had no shame. They were more into Chad’s approval and fake adoration until they finally stood up to his lies. That’s why Alex died. I don’t believe that Chad has remote supernatural powers but his mortal influence caused his followers to the ultimate darkness. Did Alex end his life because he felt he had lost the approval of Chad and Lori? Lori was disappointed when Alex failed to shoot Tammy. Serena was removed from the group when she challenged Chad’s repentance views. Whenever anyone challenged Chad and Lori’s opinions, they were removed.

We hear pulmonary embolism more often than pulmonary edema. I read somewhere that the ME removed Alex's blood clots and gave them to LE. I wonder if it was done to show beyond all doubt Alex's death was natural or why they did that. I think Alex died from guilt. Obviously, he was unaware he had heart disease, but I wonder if opening his eyes about being the fall guy and questioning if he was a man of God, was him realizing the horrible things he let Lori convince him to do and it was more than his heart could take..

Plus she’s only giving this testimony to save her own butt. If I was a juror and fence-sitting, I’d throw out her testimony. But luckily for the prosecution, her testimony is buttressed by loads of other evidence. So he did impeach her but does it matter? Maybe not.

I can tell you, if my husband of less than 24 hours, who I barely know, said we needed to go buy a drop cloth, to protect a bed in a hotel room that we DIDN'T EVEN OWN.... not only am I not going along with that, but I'm making an excuse that I need to go to the gift shop to buy something. I would find any way possible OUT OF THAT HOTEL ROOM ALONE. And once I was alone, I'm contacting my family, on my way to the police station, and my ass wouldn't be leaving that police station without an escort to the airport, to get the hell out of dodge. Not only does she go along with the drop cloth massage....but she wakes up like 12 hours later, feeling drugged, and STILL DOESN'T RUN FOR THE HILLS?!?! I just don't get what she was thinking!!! Alex was 1000% "testing" the life ending drugs on Zulema. I'd bet my house on it. I’m a life insurance agent. You can only buy insurance on a person of whom you have an insurable interest, such as yourself, maybe a disable person you are responsible for, an unmarried child, spouse or significant other, etc. I couldn’t go into the local nursing home and write policies on all the 90 year olds in the hopes of some quick cash, assuming they were close to death, because I have no responsibility or relationship to or with those people. Otherwise I could really rake in some dough! So I bought a policy on my new husband. I own the policy. No one else can make changes on it, just me, because I’m the owner. I am the first beneficiary at 100%. Our Legal Estate is the tertiary beneficiary. My children inherit our estate. So I have to sign as the buyer and sign again as the owner. My hubs has to sign as the insured. Beneficiaries do not sign. The agent must see ID and observe the signatures. Beneficiaries may not even know they are beneficiaries. Beneficiaries can be any entity, such as your spouse, your children, your church, the humane society, your favorite niece, your long-term nurse-who or whatever. The secondary (tertiary) beneficiary could be your estate or child(ren) or again, whoever or whatever. No claim will be paid out in the first two years for suicide. After two years, there will probably be an investigation. No benefit claim will be paid out if the decedent was killed in the act of their committing a crime. It still pays out if decedent was murdered, unless the beneficiary was the murderer. This last one is tricky and may be investigated to make a determination. Even if he’s found guilty of insurance fraud, I doubt he has any of it left to pay back. Back to the first sentence, the insured and the owner can be the same person. Usually husbands and wives own their own policies, but it’s up to you. There may be small differences to my explanation, depending on the company. These people are OBVIOUSLY abusing the system of life insurance. This in and of itself is a serious financial crime. So is using life insurance to launder money.
@GlamGam1964
4 ай бұрын
@@loveforeignaccentsrarely does a life insurance company hold funds for minor beneficiaries. A minor must have a guardian, which is determined in a will. If there is no will, minor children will be dealt with in family court. They will be assigned a guardian. This guardian would be responsible for seeing to the money, which was left so this minor child could receive financial care, not necessarily for it to sit in trusts or mutual funds. Hopefully the guardian would seek financial counsel as to wear the money goes. It could go to an annuity so money could be drawn off it each month for the needs of the children. It could be invested in funds, set up in a trust, saved for college-any number of ideas. Frequently the deceased will need some to pay off funerals or final expenses or unpaid medical bills.

The part where she explained that Chad believed that he and Lori had already been exalted so they had no need of repentance gave me chills. She explained that for some people who had “lived before”, they were just here to help with something, but didn’t really *need* a mortal experience again. THAT IS SO DARK. It means, to me, that a) Chad and Lori had total immunity from their actions in their own minds, so they could literally justify murder and b) anyone who was over a 4 HAD NO NEED FOR A MORTAL LIFE. Did anyone else catch that? And all of the people that died were in the 4 category, whether light or dark (unless I’m mistaken).

Zulema was no victim. She was one of the 7 Gatherers. She keeps looking at Chad, like he's still got his hooks in her. Too many coincidences about Alex, starting with the fact that Adam told the police Alex took off work for a week at a time to "get women" in Central America. Funny, Lori and Chad just so happened to have his type of woman in their back pocket with which to reward his service. 🙄 Then there are the coincidences surrounding his death. 1) He died just as the police were closing in. 2) He died just as he was realizing he was their fall guy. 3) He died from a supposed pulmonary embolism, which was the same thing Chad said Tammy died from. 4) Zulema was in a position to have Alex cremated, so he couldn't be exhumed later. Lori, Chad, and Melani talked about it in one of Ian's recordings - which, by the way, was also the only recording they all giggled through Chad's blessing. Alex trusted Zulema enough to tell her he thought he was their fall guy. I bet he trusted her enough to eat her food and drink her beverages as well.

Dude, you lay plastic on the bed if you're planning an adult activity that involves a lot of baby oil. It really is a thing that some couples do enjoy; it's not my thing, but I don't shame people's preferences in that department, as long as everyone is giving informed consent. The first time I heard about the plastic sheet, one of the hosts of the show I heard it on was actually perplexed that anyone would find it odd to put plastic sheeting on a bed, because it means a particular type of adult activity that they are really into. Given Alex being into sex tourism, I kind think that it isn't beyond reasonable to think that he was hoping the massage would end differently than his brand new wife falling asleep. The silence afterwards could have been him feeling dejected because it didn't go the way that he wanted.
@loveforeignaccents
4 ай бұрын
@@mightme6887 It was a massage. You must have never had a professional one before because they use oil and you lay on a comfortable sheet. If massage parlors used plastic, I think they would be out of business because no one would be going due to how uncomfortable and unpleasant and non-relaxing that would be. Also, this took place in a hotel, so no need to worry about oil getting on the sheets or the bedding.
@mightme6887
4 ай бұрын
@@loveforeignaccents it wasn't a professional massage, nor was it a massage parlor; it was a newlywed couple in a hotel room. Therefore, what is done in massage parlors by professional masseurs and masseuses isn't actually relevant to the conversation. For the adult activity, it's actually not uncommon to use plastic sheeting. Oils require non-standard methods of laundering, and can cause staining. If that occurred, a hotel would just consider the bedding a loss. Additionally, depending on the amount of oil a couple uses, it can go through the bedding and ruin the mattress. the couple could then be on the hook to replace it. Hotels keep credit cards on file in case of stuff getting damaged or ruined, and would have no problem charging for oil getting into the bedding or the mattress. If all a person wants to do is give their partner a massage, a towel would suffice, and I think that anyone would has ever given or received a massage be aware of that. Plastic sheeting is overdoing it, if that's the goal. However, the presence of plastic sheeting isn't necessarily an indication of violent intent.

Zulema did a very good job today. She handled Prior better than many of the others. I hope the victims’ family are ok with this because I think Zulema’s testimony may be what tips the scales of Justice toward GUILTY on all counts. It was interesting to watch Daybell’s demeanor as Zulema testified. He starts out sitting straight & tall as he has done before. By the end, he is slumped in his chair, shrinking into himself (probably trying to be as small as possible so the jury won’t see him). Why doesn’t the State just parade Christina,Serena and Nicole through the witness stand and confirm the things Zulema is saying? That’ll shut Prior up. I don’t blame the jury for being in a “We’re over it” status with Prior. He is trying every angle to get his client off and it’s becoming tiresome and predictable. You cannot refute facts and truth. Let’s all pray for a guilty verdict on June 9 !!! I cannot say enough about Judge Boyce. Wow !!! His grasp of the law and ability to stay engaged and focused during lengthy, sometimes tedious testimony (much of which he has heard already and some of it TWICE) is amazing !!! I would love to sit down and have a conversation with him … about things other than this case or even the law. He must be incredibly intelligent, aware and articulate. No she got 4,000 a month or more for taking care of J.J. It was all about the Benjamins. As one detective pointed out the only ones killed were those who presented a financial opportunity for them. Alex was not the beneficiary of Zulema's life insurance policy. He may have forged her signature by getting the form over the phone like they tried to do with Charles. But the plastic, it's weird. Maybe they wanted her killed because she knew too much, was a loose end. I believe Alex killed himself on their orders. The only other loose end then would be Gibb and David.
