Thank you for posting this video regarding COVID19. I tend to not worry about things out of my control, because worrying tends to wreak havoc on my body, but I would be lying if I said that I hadn't questioned my risks with this new epidemic. Once again, you addressed a concern that I'm sure many of us have but might have not voiced it. You are awesome!

I wasn't generally concerned about Covid-19 initially, but after thinking about how Gilenya lowers my white cell counts I am a little more concerned than before. I am hoping that living in a more rural area will help too, but it's definitely something I will bring up to my Neurologist if a case close by is confirmed. I then worry about the rebound affect from the GIlenya though. I've been on GIlenya for 7 years now and haven't had issues with respiratory issues so hopefully all of this will be a non issue. Thank you as always Dr. Boster!

Thank you so much for your videos, they are so informative without being frightening which is what I often feel when I read articles online or the MS subreddit. Your videos have helped me to be much more informed and prepare relevant questions whenever I see my neurologist. I am anxious about COVID-19 because I am on Ocrevus and I live in Philadelphia, but luckily I work from home and do not expose myself to large crowds / public transportation too often. I am trying to educate myself as much as possible and you taking the time to create this video for the MS public is heroic in a way! Thank you.

Is there any information on what happens when somebody with MS gets an infection and how it impacts their MS? I've noticed that when I get a cold I'm much more fatigued and I often see existing symptoms increase in severity (More neuropathic pain, worse spasticity, numbness, tremors, ect). Thanks for talking about this and reassuring me. Thankfully I am in the UK and didn't have to pay for my Lemtrada but the flip side of that is that they aren't the best at giving you time to talk things like this through so you videos really help. My latest Lymphocyte count is 1.73 so I'm happy that I shouldn't be at too much risk if I contract COVID-19, But I still expect that the flaring up of old symptoms won't be pleasant. Is there anything you can suggest to make life easier during a flare up caused by an infection?

Everyone is worried about me with going out. They think due to me being on rituxan and having MS puts me at risk since I go to the gym. I tell them I don't touch my face while working out and I wash my hands very good when I am done working out or anytime I am out touching things that others have. I always take care when out to ward of the common cold. So there is no reason to worry but can't convince them.

They said i was diagnosed with MS, getting attacks got almost fully blind on moth eyes, got disabled on the half of my body, and trouble looking when i had restored eye sight, One this was weird, they (the doctors) didn't knew what was the cause of it, so i went to a homeopathic doctor checking my vibrations my energy levels and it clearly showed my liver was the cause of all these symptoms, i had a virus in my liver and my liver was damaged because of it. now that i fixed it almost fully my symptoms are super small, almost as if im new and have no issues at all.

Doctor Boster what about Ocrevus as far as a risk factor ? I don't think you mentioned that MS drug, regarding getting infusion during flu season , flu/coronavirus. I ask a pulmonologist that specializes in critical care medicine and pulmonary disease , if having O infusion during flu season/corona, would one be at a higher risk of serious infection if contracting flu/virus? his answer was 100% , that one should wear a mask if going out and best to stay home if possible. Im sure that other factors play into this, like how far out are you from your infusion, how immunosuppresd are you at one month, two months ect... Just thought this was worth sharing with you. I did get your email and need to make a appointment .I have been preoccupied taken care of my Mom shes 91 and fell broke bones in her back , she is getting better and now i can get back to concentrating on my health. Yesterday I saw a couple at the store each wearing a mask. Thinking about it later, I realized that in an experimental environment, the masks may not provide effective protection. In the real world, it behaved almost like a sign that said, "I am not interested in having close contact with anyone." Then when I watched this video, I realized that it also may act as a reminder not to touch your nose or mouth. (Also as a reminder to wash your hands and be aware of what you touch.) This might be one of the rare occasions where something may work better in the real world, than in the lab. I am still not going to wear a mask, but I will go wash my hands. Dr. Boster, Thanks for all you are doing here.
