Coyotes aren't scary ! I live in the woods in Maine & there's coyotes EVERYWHERE ! So many around my property , we'll see them strolling through right in the middle of the day.. Used to have issues with them trying to hunt livestock BUT, we simply got rid of any we found going after the animals & I leave the rest alone.. they're smart! The ones I leave alone, seem to understand they won't be harmed as long as they don't harm my animals.. even had young, solo coyotes come into the yard & play with a couple of my dogs 😂 and my dogs could easily rip them apart, so no , I'm not worried About my dogs...

I live on a mountain & there's coys all over the place.. I walk right past them all the time while I'm walking my dogs around the mountain. The small family that lives RIGHT by my house, they're just like having extra dogs that happen to live in the woods 😆 they don't bother my livestock, dogs or cats & they chase off other coyotes that DO try to come around and hunt my animals.. we even feed them once in a while throughout the winter to make sure they stay fed & healthy. They don't know it's me though.. I just drop a carcass here & there so it's no different than them finding a deer or moose that dropped..

@timmc1269u (From a place of love) I’m worried.. Pack animals challenge each other all the time. While growing up, young pups are corrected when they act out. That’s how they learn boundaries and “manners”. Weave didn’t have that, so she mistakenly believes she is the boss. This could become a real issue later on, specifically when she goes into heat or if she happens upon another human that’s less accommodating than you. That’s what she’s doing with you. It’s cute but I worry that you’re kind of rewarding bad behavior. Even when she’s playing, it doesn’t look like her bites do any damage or break skin but that won’t matter to a stranger. Or worse, a parent who weave scares the crap out of. They’ll euthanize her, in fact they might do it even if she doesn’t bite someone if they deem her a “risk”. No one wants that. A lot of times she’s playing but sometimes she’s showing dominance, resource protection behaviors and “testing” you by growling and snapping. Unlike Duck, you sweetly chastise her and then pet her. Duck on the other hand, corrects her negative behavior and doesn’t back down from a dominance check. I’m not saying you should harm her, or hit her or anything like that but certainly rewarding her “cantankerous” behavior by petting her, you’re reinforcing it. I just worry, that even “best case” scenario, they trap her and deem her “unreleasable”, leading to her being sent to live with some “educational” “rehabber” in a 9’x15’ cage for the rest of her life. I don’t write this to be a downer, I just hope to maybe give you some things to think about. Consider the consequences down the line and think “How would a stranger or a child react if Weave did this to them?” Or “What would happen to her if she showed up on someone else’s back porch and acted like this?” At this point, I’m not even sure what you could do but I’m sure there’s some things you could try to limit the risks for her later on in her life. Again, this is coming from a place of love. I love these cool videos you make and I know you care about Weave. A lot of people do, so do what you can to protect her from the world and her self. (I work at a veterinary hospital that specializes in exotics, I’ve treated coyotes, usually captive bred, for years.)

@@schaddenkorp6977 while I dont think many people but Tim have valid info on coyotes and beer cans it is likely their instinct as scavengers and small game hunters. They travel since being pups 2-3 months old hunting and scavenging including using their mouth to probe everything that could possibly be of value. When your only hand is your mouth they use it to communicate through bites of varying pressures and through investigating with their teeth and taste. Coyotes play too, I think Weave thinks it is fun because the cans pop and have food in there, even if she doesnt love beer.

I’ve been watching a few other channels with videos on coyotes and there’s one thing I’ve noticed about Coyotes that really stands out to me. Their jaws. They’re huge! Well when compared to the rest of their head. Is this an error in my perception or are they actually larger than most other canids? By large I mean how wide they can open them (kinda remind me of a staple remover). Also they usually mate for late life - so I’ve heard - any truth to that?

5:07 This coyote seriously just layed down on it's side with it's belly exposed towards you.. That's absolutely nuts. She trusts you more than she probably does other wild animals, which is unbelievable bc humans are coyotes #1 threat.. usually once they're acclimated to seeing people all the time they become emboldened and aggressive towards them. Somehow she decided it was safe for her to roll the dice and become your buddy. She's definitely a rare one.

And people wonder why so many guys are getting divorced and having their lives destroyed by crazy bitches. Guys are taught to have such little self-respect for themselves and to think of themselves as a burden, so they never develop any boundaries or understand that they have value as a human being and deserve to be around people who treat them that way. It's sad to see comments like this by so many simps and white knights. Learn to have some self-respect. You shouldn't even have half that many thumb-ups for saying something so toxic and self-deprecating. You have value as a human being, but you apparently need to go through a lot of personal growth and character building to reach that potential if you actually think what you said is a good thing. 🤦♂️ And what I'm saying is out of kindness, something your fathers should have taught you. So if anyone insults me all they're doing is showing a lack of character. Be better!

I love that you were concerned with the brush being too rough on her, and just how you handle Weave and Duck in general. Thank you for being you, and for sharing glimpses into your life with these wonderful creatures.

She is so beautiful. She reminds me of a fox. You are so lucky to have her. I think she needs some dog toys to play with.

Weave is the security guard for the blue cooler. Weave the can terminator. After she destroy cans , she no longer has interest in the cans. Does anyone think she's trying to send a message to Dad? LOLOL 😂 They are only playing rough, No biting, just yarring and mouth noise. Duck is building his defensive skills up .😅❤Weave likes the new hair brush from a Canadian fan. Thanks, she's enjoying it.❤❤

"See you need to quit your yarrrrring thats bullshit" i talked to the animals jusy like this when i ran a kennel. Wow. Youre great good luck with weave and any vet visits! Srs question would you bring weave to the vet? No, right, even with all the love and care shes still a wild coyote.

I adore your videos. I admire how swamp kitty, Weave, and Duck have developed their own groove with each other, and you, as a family unit , or “pack” mentality. Opening your beer cans by Weave is hilarious!😅👍🏻💕

@@trustmebrobro Canines always know exactly where their teeth are. When I was a young woman, I had a great protector dog. If he thought someone was threatening me, he would jump up and snap this teeth a half an inch from somebody's nose! He did it several times over the years. I sure didn't teach him to do it. It was like a Bruce Lee move. I'm sure he could have brought someone down by their ripped face if necessary. Weave could tear a hand up quick if she wanted to. If you ever get the chance, please read 'The Story of Edgar Sawtelle' to really understand how dogs feel about us. And always remember, dogs will get you through times of no friends way better than friends can get you through times of no dog. Good Luck to Us All Peace

Your dog has such good self-control over his protective instincts, but I have no doubt he would really protect you if genuinely needed.

This is how you got Duck. Maybe 100,000 or so years ago a Wolf or Coyote had the courage to enter into a human camp and ask for food. Thus began the greatest friendship humanity has ever had or will ever have. Dog's made humans invincible against any other animals they made us the masters of the earth.
