I always pour myself into these stories I create but this week's story is a bit autobiographical, keeping with the sentiment that the most unexpected turns in life can surprise us with bliss and dreams we never knew we had. For my first listen, I did just that...focus on the story itself on a very quiet Sunday afternoon. Michelle, you put me right in the middle of that cheese shop, and I went right along for the adventure, so authentic and personal. What can I say but thank you, for one of your best yet!

Mixing grated/diced cold Double Gloucester 1:1 with your fav’ processed ‘cheese product’ (Velveeta, Kraft singles, etc.) makes for the best tasting macaroni-n-cheese! I simply used short 30-40-second microwaves in between fork stirrings, add milk/butter as needed; fold with hot strained macaroni (with occasional diced tomatoes), top with fresh ground peppercorn and grated Parmigiana.

I’ve past imagined Michelle ‘traditionally published’ writing for her livelihood a while. I’ve also imagined her making niche-local KZitem influence shorts reviewing NYC/NJ/CT eateries; sensuous informative critical commentary on food servings simple as pretzels & hot dogs, up-to-including sumptuous high-dollar service cuisine. ✨Hmm, -‘also just now struck me how similar Michelle’s singing-voice reminds of Olivia Newton-John’s too! 🕊️💕

Good finally I can get some Roomano Gouda can’t find it anywhere near me and buying it and having it shipped is as expensive as lobster. I only want a small amount. This does sound very delicious I better eat something before I listen. Joyous Easter and happy chocolate Easter bunny eating they always tasted better then most milk chocolate for some reason.

Fun fact an hour or so after I got this notice I read an article that claims Camembert Brie blue cheeses will soon become extinct due to climate change and the depletion if the microorganisms needed to putrefy the milk into these cheeses. They are trying to use asexual reproduction of them but cannot get consistency in taste or color. Plus the microbes aren’t happy.

@@larrymarcus3176 wow, it's so strange how cheese is being affected. Helicopters have had to bring water to the top of the Jura Mountains in summer to keep the grazing cows hydrated.

I'll have to send you some sometime! I tend to put it on my cheese boards in cooler months. This week I hosted a Spanish class that was a full house. I don't know what it is that makes those chocolate bunnies taste so good-- they taste even better the next day when they go on clearance!

I’m not finished with the story awaiting my moms arrival keeping dog calm and her focused will be fun. I’ve never felt anything about cheese until Olivia made it simply erotic. This is truly a very interesting story with info about cheese preparing that makes me feel like I must learn more.

Are there really caves under bleaker street or are they appropriated subway tunnels? Why do I always like the females in your stories? There is a symbiotic connection with climate change and our food supply. The French and California vineyards are deeply effected with many grape species close to becoming extinct. The cost of beef is ridiculous because they cost more to tend. Large corporate farms killed off the small family farms and now they have a hard time remaining viable. We humans are pretty dumb so we continue to make impulsive actions that are band aids on a hemorrhage. But I’m optimistic pass the cheese platter love those flower shaped salami. I bought a cheaper Pinot Grigio should have got the saint Margareta

I’ll never appreciate ANY possible appeal of Limburger cheese -it’s ‘funkier’ than any other, IMO, yet my mom’s father (grandpa-Henry; his grandparents from Belgium/France) loved Limburger spread upon saltine crackers. OMG, to me, that stuff offered nothing better than my elementary school dumpsters smelt! -a li’l off-topically, my other grand-dad (Clifton; my dad’s dad), worked as a WV bituminous coal miner ~1932-1952 (kept him out of WWII service) was paid ‘by-the-carload’ (train car) and sometimes arrived home very late to find my grand-mom’s VERY-stinky burned beans atop their stove; grand-dad Clifton developed his ‘acquired taste’ for those awful smelling/tasting beans, as my father told me. Likewise, I find burned beans ALMOST up there with Limburger cheese, or canned red beets, just as distasteful. However, aside from Limburger, I haven’t met a cheese I cannot love! 🥰

Saw a great Joan Rivers Show during the pandemic when getting lost in other eras and she had a foot odor researcher comparing cheese to smelly feet due to the prevalence of B. Linens. The most embarrassed (and smelliest) man was compared to Limburger. Epoisses can be intense as well-- but Quadrello and Taleggio to me are the most subtle.
