Please make more Long EZ or Cozy videos, I've been smitten by the Long EZ design. To me, it's fundamentally what an airplane should be. I'm just getting the paperwork ready to start my PPL and I hope one day I am lucky enough to own one. I"m not the most well-off person monetarily but I'm going to fight for this dream. Maybe you could also do a quick video on what to look for when buying a Long EZ/Cozy, common problems to look for? I'm going to join a local EAA club as well to hopefully join a network of people with knowledge. I've droned on long enough, thanks for the vids!

Thanks for watching and your comment. I was in your shoes in 1993, when my flight instructor commented that he likes the long ez. I researched and have been hooked ever since. There is no better airplane for the price. Nothing close. I’d recommend you join Central States Association, which recently changed name to Canard Owners and Builders Association. Google it and contact the Newsletter Editor Mike Beasley. I think it’s $40 per year, but the best $40 you can spend to learn all the tips and tricks. You can meet canard owners in your area and get a ride. Where are you located? I’d be happy to take you flying if you are near central Ohio. Good luck!

When performing the barrel (rotation) in the reversed position, it is necessary to keep the hood with a small movement of the stick from itself.

i did not realize you could go inverted with a cozy! was this maintaining positive Gs?

Yes, all positive Gs. I think it could fly inverted, but the engine would stall after a few seconds from lack of fuel. I have no interest in trying it though.

@@MikeToomey the VariEze is a similar gravity fed system with a secondary 2 gallon fuselage tank in addition to the wing tanks. I've heard you can do aerobatics in those as well but I've yet to see proof and I'm slightly skeptical considering the wing attach point corrosion issues that have been documented.
