I'd never heard of a little to the left before, it looks like such a satisfying game. Kinda reminds me of Unpacking, my absolute favorite cozy game to play.

oh man unpacking is such a great one, ive watched a E&K play through it and it looks like such a great time. if you like unpacking for the story, there isent as much in A Little To The Left but the vibes are all there.

I let Gourdlets run in the background when I have other things to do on the computer and come back to it for a couple of minutes every now and then. Like that, it's a lot of fun.

A game I feel would fit seamlessly into this list is GNOG! It's a whimsically charming game about solving 'puzzle boxes,' except these puzzle boxes could be anything ranging from a frog's head to a submarine, to a candy shop. It has beautiful visuals, satisfying solutions, and feels very in line with the tone/vibe of the other games you recommended!

Tiny Glade looks... Extremely good for extremely specific things. (The game that I'd consider if not a cozy game then at the minimum on the periphery is Sapling. An evolution sim where you can design creatures and - in the sandbox mode - watch them gradually evolve over eons. There's a more involved scenario mode where you're designing creatures and ecosystems to fullfil goals, but using the sandbox mode as a sort of virtual fishbowl is the heart of the game for me.

I liked a little to the left. My advice? Play it slowly. When you’re done, put it down and wait 2 months or so to pick it back up. I blasted through it and then replayed it too soon which was way worse a play experience than if I had played a chapter then waited a day before playing the next one.

That first game reminds me of the idea I had a while back for a game where you start by building the world, preferably medieval fantasy then you start the game spawning in as the world is simulated. Ecosystems and quests are dynamically generated, quests mainly when something is out of balance for instance too many predators, or not enough food. If the world isn't well balanced it could cause a collapse of different systems.
@CozyDesignStudios

Oooo that sounds sick, dynamically generated quests sound like a real challenge but if done right they could be really cool!
@RyanVaterlaus

@@CozyDesignStudios all you would need to do is keep track of the number of each animal and a couple other variables, when the population of an animal gets too high or too low you post a quest, do the same for any other type of quest, for instance if a child character moves too far from town then you can have a quest starting with where they left town and have them leave clues like footprints or broken branches with cloth on them. It would be a lot of variables, but if you just have a trigger when certain variables reach certain values you should be able to make a variety of quests dynamically.

I am working on a simple RPG with a simulated wilderness and dynamic quests using the population of animals. I plan to expand to keep track of the villages supplies, with npcs going hunting and gathering.

Tiny Glade is really dope, and is like Townscaper scaled down. I might have to check out Gourdlets. I almost view Planet Crafter as a cozy game. I know there are survival aspects, but once you get food rolling, it can be pretty chill without feeling like you are doing someone else's fetch quest.

These look great - some are on my wishlist. I just bought one on Steam for $4.99 called Burger Shop 3 and it’s so fun, kind of like a one hand mouse game so you have a hand free for snacks 🤪 similar to Papa’s Freezeria with an unlock system kind of like BTD6 - I don’t know but it’s so fun and satisfying to me. I think it’s kind of new.

hi!! i really liked this video! i’m definitely gonna check out oddada! i’ve wanted to learn how to make music for a long time but any music software has only confused me more, i’m gonna give it a shot! i will say, i put videos on in the background while i do chores around the house and when you would start talking about a new game, you wouldn’t mention the title verbally as you introduced it so i’d have to pop back into the room to see if it was a game i’d heard of or not before. also this is my first video of yours i’ve watched, so if you haven’t played Kingdom: two crowns, i’d suggest checking it out! it’s definitely what my bf and i go to when we need a cozy game to play for a few hours :) keep making great videos!!
