Your story about the discovery of these books in a crack den is mental. Hat off to you for going thru that experience man. I wouldve done the same :) you have picked up some treasures. Very surprising as the come from a crackhead lol. Ironic how the Spidey drug issues came from there, and in beautiful condition. Congratulations bro! One of the best and most interesting finds in a long time !!

Some serious finds man congrats. You never know where you'll find some gems. It almost means more to me when you find treasures in a place like that where you'd never expect. They look to be in pretty awesome shape. Sounds like Lexington Market here in Bmore lol. A comedian I saw went thete and he said there were so many dope fiends and crackheads, he thought they were shooting a remake to Dawn of the Dead.

Glad you survived the crack den it would have been a boring YCC without Spacebaby. Maybe that kid was poking you to see if you were plump enough to snack on. Those kids are usually starving in those places. You definitely scored I personally love Craigslist and have my share of war stories too. Thanks for the laughs and for sharing.

So you live near Melbourne? I've hung out there on multiple occasions in the mid 2000s. I used to love going to Cocoa Beach. I lived in Winter Park for about six months or so. I love your story about getting the books! One of the best I've heard in a minute. Its all about the hunt! Awesome! That X-Men # 43 is my style! Damn! Loving the No CCA ASM books! I snag those in any grade.. any time! I love ASM # 76! Awesome cover and fun story. Great Buscema interior artwork. DAAMN you scored big-time. Congrats.. I need to be hitting up Craigslist! I don't mind wading through crack houses. My ASM # 25 looks like it was used to smoke crack :)

Wow those are some treasures man, congrats! I would to get my hands on some early spider-man for 4.44 a piece especially issues like 51 and 24. I live in a comic dead area and I do check the craigslist adds and what little is here, people think they are all worth hundreds of dollars.

You really scored on that purchase !! Do you plan on flipping those books for a profit, or are you just filling in gaps and completing runs? That was a humorous story and very well delivered, and at those prices in was definitely worth life and limb to find books in that neighborhood !!! But hey man, I like both Megadeth and Slayer. I'm a guitarist and both of those bands compose very intricate and complex musical arrangements and the lyrics are thought provoking. I guess most people just can't stomach the vocal styling's !!! Great video and its all about the thrill of the hunt !!!
@TheSpaceBaby

I am also a guitarist and grew up loving metal -- then I grew up and those musical arrangements simply don't speak to my soul, they insult them -- to each his own. Did you see Paco de Lucia just died? shame, man. I don't flip books -- I'm building a collection. Ha, maybe in 20 years or so I might sell.
@JaseinCaseCollectibles

It's a shame that he died. I also appreciate Classical, Flamenco, Jazz, Blues etc. I flip books when I can because I'm not as avid of a collector as I use to be. I once had 7,000 raw books which spanned from 50's horror like E.C., Silver/Bronze Age Marvels/D.C. had a kid and sold it off to buy a house in 2004. Really Sucks !! Started rebuilding a small collection of CGC books for my son in 2012. I still buy raw books to flip or submit for profit. But nothing like I use have. Great videos keep them coming !!

The comic God was kind to those books....nice white pages on those early Asm books....poorly stored and yet still great...proper storage is over rated and I have seen books this nice so many times from horrid storage conditions over the years. Lastly, those that don't want to do the work has themselves to blame for not getting great deals. Heck, go back there with another 100 bucks and buy the other books he pulled out.
@TheSpaceBaby

TheSpaceBaby hit it often and borrowed if you have to...I am serious. My best score like yours with a crazy ad is a collection of 4000 books...yes 4000! that I bought for an average price of $3 per book....I submitted and got over 600 9.8 slabs and I sold most of them....you can do the math and imagine what kind of crazy profit that was :) Heck I am checking out a craigslist ad later today after exchanging emails with someone over the weekend and last weekend I drove an hour and walked away from a deal because the guy wanted too much...at the end of the day...the greatest rewards are from craigslist....not the LCS or Ebay and for those that want to do the work...the deals are there.
