Big fan of crackling bases, I've only used the AK dark and dry crackle effect that comes in a big tub, will for sure be picking up some mordant earth and maybe a few more. Always used pva glue between my green paint and crackle paint and have always let it dry naturally, which by that test looks to be the best choice.

BarbatosRex, here on YT, uses a dehydrator to dry model parts after spray painting them. I wonder how that would work with crackle paints 🤔

Pva to my eye works best. Stabilising it after has been my problem. Continues crackling and falls off (agrellan usually)

we have never had that issue, maybe experiment with a top coat of varnish after it has dried 😀
