To me this album is the pinnacle of Cradle's music career. Dani's voice is on point, I definitely like how he uses more lower tones so when he does scream it feels more electric, the guitar work is top notch and full of riffs and solos, The keyboard and choiresque sounds in the background is so atmospheric sounds sends shivvers down my spine and the drumming...... its fast and complex with its variety of beats. The music sounds matured from the 90s era Cradle and i simply cannot get enuff of this album.

New enmeshment, from typewriter to pure read with candle light. Cradle of Filth is reinvented in this one, a melodic change from the usual sound the band creates...and it sounds good. A change to embrace this resonates well aside most of their songs in actuality. Perfect idea.

The three Singles that have come out so far have been 10/10 easily. This album could and likely will even top HoTW and I thought that album was genius. Best Cradle has been since Midian, Dani is sounding better than ever before, the duo of Richard Shaw and Marek Šmerda is killer. Martin on the drums has no words to describe him, the fucker is a drumming machine!! 🤘🏻 This will be the best album of 2017! \M/ Anyone got a favourite of the three singles?

For what my opinion is worth as a fan since the demo days, starting around 2015 Dani regained all the power he ever had and then some, which is why songs like haunted shores reentered the set list live. That being said its not totally the same, its better! Cleaner diction is a good thing, although its still extreme metal and difficult for most to decipher. He also has a few tricks 96 Dani didn't have, much more versatile now. I understood when people canned him 2010- 2013, but since he has totally got it back. Those who say otherwise simply are either: Haters, fan who can't get over the old days and give new stuff a shot, trolls, general twats etc. Anyway best not to feed trolls.

Is it safe to say that COF is strongest than like never before??? Believe me I am a hardcore fan of since the start from Principle till Manticore, but this and Hammer are absolutely on a entire different level! Again my opinion which really begs to differ.. But I am having the feeling that Dani is taking the band to the alien realms of technicalities, along with emotions (which is as always)... It's just like "Fear of a blank planet" from Porcupine Tree! Bang on showcasing the world to what level the band can reach in talent! Never doubted about Dani's intellect, and never ever will! This is seriously "Achingly Beautiful" to me! Hats off!

Nymphetamine and Thornography struck me that way (including the cheeky and cheesy play upon words), but they were the only two which did so. Damnation and a Day was a competent foray into symphonic metal, while Godspeed on the Devil's Thunder harkened to the old days of CoF more so than any album has since then (especially given the conspicuous lack of keyboards or prominent symphonic elements, even on this album so far).
