You have no idea how much this video series is helping me! I went through my single sheets while I was watching the video & I have a nice size pile in there to send off to my sister. She loves scrapbooking, too. It's the only thing we have in common, really, but I am very grateful to have someone to pass this stuff on to.

I’m so glad it helps! I’ve done a lot of work for design teams over the last five years and it wasn’t until I started making stash kits that I realized how much I’d accumulated. It was overwhelming me and that’s not fun. Even after two years of severely limiting my buying and stepping back from teams, I still had so much. It was time!

It’s funny, I wasn’t sure anyone would want to watch that part, but it seemed silly not to give examples and show my thinking in the moment.

What fun this was. Don’t love dots but crazy about stripes and plaids so we’re not on the same wavelength. Had to laugh about your comments about colours. When I go through my card stock I’m always second guessing myself…is it grey or beige or even green.

Love the no, yes, maybe…do you keep solids and patterns together? It seemed like you several solids in your color groups. It’s funny what we pick, I agreed with most of your choices, but what really liked is that you didn’t choose by paper brand, which I think for most of us how we feel does switch over time! Loving this series! 🫶

These were all patterned papers, but some definitely read as solid. I don’t use much color card stock, just navy, black, and gray. Yes, I’m all over the board with brands of paper. It’s all so pretty!

Thank you so much for doing this series. One of the most helpful strategies I have learned from you and this series is that I should consider how much of something is manageable for me. I used to think I needed to find a storage solution for the amount of supplies I had, rather than creating a system and ensuring that my supplies don’t exceed their allotted space. Could you store more paper in those cubes if you store it vertically? Sure, but if having too much paper overwhelms you, then that’s not a good solution. I also find that when I have to get rid of things, it really reminds me to be intentional about the supplies I bring into my crat space. I have to consider what I am willing to let go of to make space for the new item.

So true! I think it’s important to consider what you can handle first, rather than what your space can hold.

This is wonderful, but I keep collections together for the most part. I do have some singles that I keep separate, but it really does take awhile for me to pull a kit apart ....if I ever do. If possible I'd love a vid addressing what to do in that case. It's so hard to just throw out collections and if I start taking things apart that makes way more of a decision mess! Oh and btw-I have to purge 21 years of stuff. It's easy when I come across certain outdated things like the thin pattern paper and I don't feel bad about tossing it. My problem comes when I still like a collection, but know I have too much how do I narrow down all the yes's??

It's so hard to let go of things you've spent money on, I absolutely get it. I like to tell myself that I deserve to have a functional and FUN space for my hobbies and if it's overwhelming, it's neither. That's been a major motivator for me.

Can I ask why you don’t keep doubles? I do a 2 page spread at a time and I would be upset if I didn’t have another sheet. Or would this be printed and not solid card stock?
@lauraalbertscrafts

I did keep some doubles, but generally I do one page layouts. If I do a two page layout, they would be coordinating instead of continuous, so I don’t need two!
