Hi there! I don't have a platform but have watched a lot of crafting videos and I don't think it's necessary to have to push too hard, if you have enough good quality ink on there. I remember you saying about your shoulder in past, so take care. Also, if you push too hard with clear stamps you may distort them as you print. Handy tip with magnets is to wrap a strip of washi tape on them, leaving a tail on both sides, that you stick together, about half inch or so. This makes it easy to pick them up, and separate if they stick together. Have a good day 😊

Wow. Gayle you are amazing. I can offer a consideration for you. If you leave your big stamp with the face up inked up, you can lay your paper or fabric on top of the stamp and use another larger piece of paper to cover the entire stamp to press it onto the stamp. This will let you with placement a little easier instead of turning the big stamp on top where you can't see. I always learn such wonderful techniques for ephemera and junk journaling from you. Bless you sweet lady.🤗🙏

Love stamp session. Of course, it was guilt inducing. I have so many stamps, and I'm always buying more. I use 3" binders and sheet protectors to store my stamps and I'm up to 8 binders and have enough stamps for three more, at least. Half of those areTimmy's stamps. And I've already got two binders full of his stamps! I need to have a full week of stamping to justify my hoard!

Good morning Gayle and Friends! I am also “stamping” challenged! I’m thankful for being able to make ephemera out of my not so great attempts!! I call it my journal “bonus” pieces!! Put a stamped frame around it and call it a label! Viola! You are correct about letting the inked stamp set on the paper to absorb the ink, I just can’t remember which type of inks that works best with. I know water based ones that helps. Fun to be reminded to just stamp on items you are not sure how to decorate! I really loved the glassine bags! Have a great day my friends! Blessings to each of you and happy crafting!

Hey Gayle. Really liked the stamps especially the ones that had more collage designs by Ciao Bella. You are correct about leaving the stamp down for awhile, possibly ~1 min. That also helps with not pushing too hard so you get better detail from your stamp, gives the ink time to transfer. Which your stamp platform will also let you stamp without major rubbing as you can stamp or re-stamp as many times as needed. The stamper I like is the Misti. More Expensive but worth it for better stamping. Sorry to say but I don’t like the Tim Holts one, doesn’t give a good stamp. Too hard. but almost everything else of his I pretty much love. Also Brutus Monroe makes a great stamp cleaner in a pump bottle and I believe it may come in scents. It is very good. Thanks for the great video I loved how the ID’s came out and the stamping. ❤ Crafty Hugs 🤗

Hi Gayle. I absolutely love your stamping videos. Your ID cards this time and the last batch are so so awesome. I can’t wait to make some too. You are right your stamping today was a good session. I think the more you do stamping the more you find those little tips and tricks that can really make the difference for good stamped image outcomes. Stamping is my jam and I just love stamping of all kinds. Your combination of collaged stamped images today was so cool. One tip I have found with my photo polymer or acrylic stamps if the first time you stamp and if it has a missing part of the image is because sometimes there’s just a little thin piece of extra stamp residue (from the manufacturing process) that is left on the stamp. So it just needs a hard wipe over to get it cleared off. The other tip is the larger stamps like your first one used today with the bee image in the center, well on the thick acrylic block no matter how hard you press the center of the block won’t bend any and so there isn’t enough pressure in the middle to transfer that ink. Your stamp platform helps for that issue too. Also one of those round stamp helper disks things to kind of press in circles over the stamping platform might save you from having to press so hard. They sell them on Amazon and such. I have to say I love hearing your hubby mowing in the background because it just reminds me how your videos are made from such a regular everyday happy home. Like when you speak of him cooking for friends coming for dinner and how you go to lunch with a friend and the great loving family events, I mean it’s just nice to hear how much love and kindness is shared around you. Thank you for sharing such wonderful conversation in addition to your super creative videos….we are so blessed aren’t we. 🥰

I’ve seen those stamping platforms somewhere before. What an ingenious, but simple, invention!! This may be a dumb question, but who cares; if I don’t ask, I won’t know the answer☺️ While you were using it, I kept looking at the size of it and thinking, wouldn’t it be possible to put a heap of stamps and cards on it all at once, to save time? I especially pictured those long narrow flowers stamped on, perhaps, 4-6 tags at the same time, possibly even with room for 2 flowers on each tag. I’m sure you must have had a very good reason for not doing that. Maybe the whole thing would be too “thick” to close with all those stamps on it? Or maybe the tags would move around too much, so that they can’t be re-stamped in case you should need extra ink in certain spots, but surely it would be possible to use more (smaller?) magnets if needed. Just wondering over here.

Hi Donna! I did stamp on book pages for one of Roxy’s weekly challenges a couple years ago. Yes! It looks cool! Thanks for the reminder! ❤

What if you put the paper on top of the stamp? You could press on the bee intentionally. 🤷♀️

Can condition your polymer stamps by taking an eraser over image before stamping.

Morning Gayle 🙏🏼🧸 I’m a bad stamper; more ink on the hands than the paper 🙈 but with that awesome bee stamp; do it the other way round; by rubbing the paper? Less muscle pain maybe also. I love stamps though 🥰😇

Leaving the stamp block on the paper for a few will allow the ink to "soak" into the paper more fully, if the ink is wet enough and the paper absorbent enough AND if there is full contact between the stamp surface and the paper... but I don't think it's a big enough difference to matter (cardmaker here, I'll use my stamp platform to repeat stamp 4-5x sometimes to get a 'perfect' image--if waiting worked better, I would do that instead XD), especially with mixed media. I like some 'grunge' and imperfect stamping with my mixed media!

It tends to smear more, but leaving the stamp face-up and pressing the paper down on the inked stamp works better for mixed media than leaving the stamp against paper for a few minutes (in my experience)! Edited to add, for anyone struggling with stamping... follow some cardmakers! Haha we are notorious for figuring out how to stamp 'perfectly'!

Another excellent video (I don't think I've commented before--just now getting into mixed media XD)!! Thank you for sharing your processes with us!

Good morning!! A lot of stamping this week!👏 One of my new years resolution was to stamp every stamp I own! Needless to say I've not stamped anything!😂 Well done using your stamping platform!👍 I think you have coloured pencils, perhaps you could highlight some of the stamped flowers with them instead of using different ink colours? 🤔 The signature pages turned out lovely. 😊 Timmy does lovely stamps but all your stamps were great!😘 Onwards to FF Friday!🎉 Have a good day!😁❤️ PS is it time for the Poppy journal? 🥰

Hi Gayle, I noticed when you were trying to get the bee to stamp, your table was giving in the exact spot your stamp wasn't making good contact. I don't know if that makes sense to you or not, I don't know how else to say it.
