11th Century Igbo society. That struck my imagination hard like an open hand. Interested in learning more from this son of the soil. Thank you Igbo Conference for allowing these glimpses of light to reach us.

Thank you Chigozie for this lucid interview. Thanks to the interviewer. She did a great job of asking the right questions. Please continue to highlight the Igbo and African civilization. It is sorely needed at this time. That's the only way we can get back to roots, explore who we truly are, and decide our future. That's the way forward. Without that, our country Nigeria and African will continue to be a failure. We need to stop copy and paste from other places. Thanks Igbo conference for a great job! Jisie ike!

"We had been told in primary school that Mary Slessor abolished the killing of twins in Calabar. But that was information coming from European writers who were using the excuse of "barbaric Africa" as a justification for invading Africa, in order to "civilize the people". King Eyo Honesty II of Calabar abolished the killing of twins. But because he never wrote about it and none of his subjects wrote about it, the abolition was credited to Mary Slessor because the king allowed her to care for abandoned twins in her missionary compound. On her trips to Scotland, she took some of the twins with her, as she went to churches to give speeches about her work in "barbaric and uncivilized Calabar". She failed to correct the information that she stopped the killings". By a Facebook page named Dei Verbum. Published 04/12/2020.

Dalu Chigozie Obioma! I see our people is now awakening from the deep sleep the so-called Westerns put them into. Ekene dili Chukwu Okike Abiama for this Software reset which is going on in Igbo people consciousness / mind / suche. Dalu for your heaven design in Igbo perspective. But note that Ndi Igbo di not believe in so-called heaven and hell principles. Because both of them are here right now. Well we have Ala Mmuo were our ancestors go to when they finished their task on earth (Uwa).

Thank you Chigozie and Louisa for a beautiful presentation. I would like to correct something that Chidozie said that does not jive with reality. He said that polygamy is bad. I would like to submit that "one man one woman" is un-Godly. It is wrong to condemn polygamy without also seeing the evils and imbalances monogamy has created around the world. Why do we have lesbians running rampant around the world nowadays? Is lesbianism and the avalanche of divorces that have pervaded the American society a better model for the world than Polygamy? America created this ideal, which is not even working for Americans. Go on-line and all one sees are beautiful divorced accomplished women, because the men keep looking for younger spouses leaving the older spouses hanging. Is it better to for a woman to be married to another, remain single for life, or be one of the wives in a polygamy? I HAVE ASKED THIS QUESTION OF WOMEN (DIVORCED, UNMARRIED, LESBIAN) OVER AND OVER, AND MOST ALWAYS AGREE THAT POLYGAMY IS BETTER. His statement contradicted his assertion that copying from America and imposing on Africans is bad. I know he has not given this a good thought.

Quite an impressive perspective! I would have to disagree, however, with the inference that polygamy had to go because it was bad. Polygamy is only one of the many ways of navigating the social relationship called marriage. Polygamy was never bad, it was disparaged and derogated by a people who had a different view on familial relationships. Monogamy, as an alternative, has never worked for any anyone, from Tiger Woods to Bill Clinton, to the oldest son of Queen Elizabeth, to your pastor/priest, to the Mormon communities, and any and every category of men everywhere. I can vigorously argue that monogamy (as defined) does not currently enjoy much appeal/success

They did, I don’t see any reason to deny it, I just see it as a misguided practice of infanticide that was shared across various cultures and now we know better we simply remove it.

First what is the meaning of the word ( Igbo ) is correctly written as i gbo meaning "to mediate" because they are a nation of consecrated priests to mediate between God and humanity. The Igbo language is the fundamental language of so- called Sudanic "kwa" language. However, The Igbo Empires would spread to Europe, Middle-East, Near and Far East as far as India, China, Japan and Mongolia to establish the great Oriental Civilizations. All these languages have a common root in Igbo language! Before they were called Igbos, they are called ( I zara Eli.) meaning you answered God. The earliest civilization of ancient china in the second Millennium B.C, commenced with the the Black Igbo Africans of china ( Igbo language: Chi ana meaning God's land) ruling Dynasty under Emperor Yu ( Igbo language: Iyi, meaning "water"). before the communist revolution, the so called Emperor Yu was Emperor Iyi, meaning " Emperor of water". to this day, Chinese tradition claims that, the great Yu, was the regulator of the waters and the builder of canals. He also invented wet field agriculture. It is not contested by modern Chinese historians that, the Early Emperor of China were of African descent. The true meaning and symbolism of the four Igbo market days calendar Named "Eke, Orie, Afo, Nkwo." (The Eke day is the day of regeneration") meant that, it would witness the triumph of the cross of Jesus Christ over death at his resurrection. The Orie day meaning (the day He was offered to Almighty God. the day of His death). The Afo day meaning the day of His birth. and Nkwo day Meaning the day of His Baptism. This is Igbo Calendar True meanings. The word (Chi) was derived from "echi" meaning "old wire money". The word ( eke ) meaning "python" in combination as echi na eke are the object forms of the subject expression: chineke "God the Creator". The true location of the 12 tribes of Israel ( Igbo or ibo language: I Zara Eli, meaning ' you answered God' ) are at this day in Igbo land and settled according to the " The Other of Encampment and Marching' as God instructed Moses and Aaron in [ Numbers 2:3-32]. Their location was around the Temple at Jerusalem (Igbo language: iyi e rusala m, meaning "evil should not touch me") which is the Holy City Called today Owerri ( Igbo language: Owe eri, meaning Leaders from time immemorial ) in Imo State South Eastern Nigeria. First we need to find out the true meaning of Egypt, it language and who the people are. I can say ancient Egyptians are Nubians... pronounced as (ana ibo or ana igbo).. meaning (The land of mediators) who migrated to upper Egypt. (Egypt).. consonants..(g Y p t).. pronounced as... ago Ya, a pa atu .. meaning.. prays to God and advice from the Almighty GOD. The African origin of modern humans is presumed because of the presence of Mitochondrial Eve which is the main superhaplogroup L. The superhaplogroup L has major subclade: L0,L1,L2,L3,L4,L5 and L6 found in Sub-Saharan Africa..(Africa)..pronounced as (Ofe ri aka)..(frk)..meaning (the place of ancient time). They are ancients, called Igbos... meaning... Mediators. This Igbo people are ancient Chinese, ancient Egyptians pharaohs, kings of ancient Israel, ancient Greeks, phoneticians, Carthaginians, Ugaritians, Lemnians, Olmecs, Etruscans, Iberians. This people called... (Igbos or Ibo).. meaning (Mediators) they are called Igbo because of priesthood to mediate between God and mankind. Igbos wrote down everything you known today as civilizations. They builds the pyramids, invented the Electricity, computers, automobile, airplane, helicopter and submarine. They spoke the language of creation which is Igbo language.
