My Craftsman Bolt on is my favorite tool and probably one of my favorite possessions. When I was drilling today the motor sparked and it died. I knew it had been discontinued and it was the day I had been dreading... I did not want to pay extortion prices on eBay for a new head. I googled it and saw the B&D and I exclaimed that is the EXACT SAME DRILL in a different color because I KNOW my drill. My SO pooh poohed on my idea that maybe JUST maybe the parts would work on mine because it is the SAME body shape.... then I found your video and VICTORY IS MINE!! I may have woohooed a little too loud. THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS!!!

Black and Decker bought out the craftsman power tools. The 20V batteries are interchangeable and the Matrix parts will all interchange with the Bolt-on parts. I just ordered one my craftsman died. The saw won't cut a 2x4 even flat ways unless you cut both sides. You can get a fast charger for those batteries. I wouldn't get rid of it even for milwaukee, they don't have all the attachments you have to buy each tool seperately.

I work with steel just fine but gimme some lumber and I'll invent new ways to screw something up. I do use the B&D 20V Lithium Ion system for a couple of drills, and a weed eater. I use a 40V cordless electric lawn mower that works like a champ. The 40V batteries look pretty much the same as the 20V ones... I'll have to try a 40 in the drill.

It’s been 2-3 years of SB&D saying their moving CM back to USA manufacturing and they haven’t done anything except paint the yellow stuff red and call it a potatoe instead of a potato. Everyone keeps talking about the plant in Texas making tons of USA made stuff but I have yet to see any of it. I’d love for CM to be a USA success story once again. Most things aren’t made to be dropped. They’ve gotten better with actually drop testing production tools today before they release them. It took them a while to finger out that they weren’t always getting the same build quality, and even materials the companies would specify, back from china to sell in store. It took them some time to learn and we all paid the price for it. I wouldn’t recommend most tools to anyone because I don’t know how people use them. I have called straight junk ass tools junk before, but even junk tools will work for certain people. It’s why most of my videos have gone into just showing people what I buy and maybe giving the thought process of why I chose those tools. I live old tools but sometimes the new shit is leaps and bounds better than the old tools.
