Thank you for this video. This lady fixed her push mower thanks to you! My carburetor looked just like that. I should have looked at the serial number because I ended up ordering the wrong carburetor. So after I figured that out, I found your video and just cleaned my existing one instead. Mowed part of my lawn, and when my husband got home from work, he finished it! I am now a "bad-@ss" according to my husband, lol.

I tend to agree. While most women are capable, not many are willing to try. If my wife fixed the lawn mower, I'd brag to all my friends how bad ass she was for sure.

I am a 67 year old woman who took my son-in-law's lawn mower to my house to fix. I watched the video on how to clean the carburetor and followed it step by step and I'm happy to say it runs wonderfully. Thank you for your help the video was very informative and step by step so it was easy to do. My son-in-law would have tore it apart without ever looking at anything and botched it up. Happy to say they will now have their lawnmower and I can get mine back yay

This was awesome. I cursed at my mower for not starting because I had a limited time to mow my lawn, and the thought of having to fix my mower first--I have zero experience fixing small engines--ticked me off. Your video was clear and methodical. I couldn't believe when my mower started right up afterward. Thanks!

you wouldn't of guessed that me push mowing lawns with the basic pusher mowers like this one. which that exact model is the one i am currently using now btw lol.. i ussually use the Borens, from Lowes. but have had this model for for the past 2 seasons now. you wouldn't guess though that i been mowing lawns with this basic models for 20 years now...20 F'ING YEARS!! lol.. and im still an idiot to fixing them... reason being is simple though really. they use to be only $180. now the cheapest big back wheeled ones start at $280... the next bump down is $240 and comes with all small wheels and 1 hrs power less. and that just doesn't cut it when are mowing so many lawns. so the 280 option, having the big back wheels and the extra hrs power is almost, pretty much needed... but that extra 100 bucks for it is bullshi* to say the least. that means they charging you for 2, 4 inch bigger wheels, $50. and 1 hrs power more, $50. thats simply a pathetic upgrade for $50 a piece. you know? im not letting myself get hosed like. f that. they were at 220, 2 or 3 years ago. now though. 280. and just f that lol.. so im determined to do and start doing what i have ALWAYS known was the problem with them when they start acting up. cutting off on you when they get hot/up to temp. and then you f'ing around with popping the filter cap off and taking the filter off, hand choking it. it working for another 15 mins then starts getting stupid again on you. so you pop the filter cap back of, stuff whatever you can find on the fly, on the job. half the f'ing lawn is mowed, while you fukk around with it to finish the other half...GOSH THAT WILL PISS YOU RIGHT OFF ...lol so im determined to start doing WHAT I ALWAYS KNEW....BUT BEEN TOO LAZY TO DO....simply detail the carb out. i've know the carb getting some clog in it was always the problem for like the past 10 years and been just junking them and buying a new mower. but at now 100 dollars more... yeah its deffinilty time to starting cleaning the carb out good now.. this here video was exactly what i needed to see. just how easy it is and fast it is to make a huge difference it makes to do that once in a while... im start doing this every4 to 6 months now or as needed. with...WITH no hesitation... bud....THANKS FOR THE VIDEO. BADASS!! its dark now but im hitting up the local gas station, grabn some extra rinse gas and a thing of carb cleaner first thign in the morning though. you just saved me...280 FRIKN DOLLARS!!! well minus out the 15 for the gas and carb cleaner i mean but still.. lol IM NOW GOING TO TAKE A SLEDGE HAMMER TO THAT LIKE BUTTON FOR YOU....lol :)

Thankfully I watched your video first! Craftsman 140cc ex500 only 2 months old, but bad gas caused non start. Drained tank and carb. but still no start. Couldn't return, but simple cleaning solved the problem! Seeing linkage(s) and jet cleaning procedure, and in 1 hour , fresh gas and all is well! I rarely comment, but it's the least I could do for bailing me out! Many thanks!

Man, great video. Mower has not worked for 2 years with gas sitting in it. Today i followed your steps and only used wd40 to clean everything. Mower was basically new. It needed engine starter to fire up, but it kept on going...and mowed the yard.❤

Thanks for this video, so informative! Husband and I are new home owners and just got a gas lawn mower last summer. Despite knowing better we didn't run it over the winter and forgot to remove the old gas, and it wouldn't start when we finally got it out. Squirt some gas or starting fluid into carb ... small amount ... if it fires up ...goes dead ,not getting gas to run... back to drawing board .😂 hook up tank to carb w gas in it ..w float bowl off see if fuel is trickling down thru needle jet and turns off by putting float bowl back level.

this helped alot I put new gas and new filter and spark plug and it still wouldn't start so now I know where the carburetor is and can do it myself, Maybe. what is the stuff you buy to spray to help start the mower before doing this and where do you spray it.
@SmallEngineRepair
2 жыл бұрын
I use carb/choke cleaner spray to clean the carburetor. Or you can use brake cleaner, it's a little easier on seals. Ether is a starting fluid but any of the 3 will work as a starting fluid. Any parts house will have those sprays.
