i saw the blue fireball too in the southern sky, from northeast India , on 26th April 2022, 06:09 pm (IST ). I was talking to my sister on the phone. It was very beautiful and breathtaking. but i did not hear any boom sound. I wish i heard that😁.

I live in Cranfield Mississippi and allowed you guys to search my property is it possible to find parts of the meteor with a metal detector?
@TopherspinMeteorites

Yes, if it is a quality one and honed in with a test sample. Your experience and skill as a detectionist is of key importantance. I would fail. 😂 Please stay in touch.

I was a farmer in stone county, Lumberton MS from 2018 to nov 2021 and i came across this video while trying to identify what I and many others I have asked think could be a meteorite. This thing is BIG. like the whole 5 lbs big. I found it while tilling on the side of a hill in what was a swampy Oak and pine forest just 30 yrs ago:P If this peaks anyones interest feel free to message me about pictures and more details.

I appreciate the enthusiasm and the efforts of hunting. I really hope you have something too. As you can imagine I get TONS of these requests. My company does offer a paid service complete with geologist summary. But, there is a free option that is quicker. If you read ANY description to ANY of my KZitem videos, you will see my advice with links to load QUALITY pictures of a SINGLE sample at a time. Best of luck!

I don't offer free services to help ID stones. I am not a trained Geologist. Do you believe that you really have a meteorite? Submit pictures to: facebook.com/groups/isitameteorite or facebook.com/groups/meteorite.or.meteorwrong. The power of the Facebook Groups I recommend is that there are a bunch of knowledgeable geologists and meteorite people in there.

We recently found a stoney iron in west coast forida. Wasnt sure until we sliced it. Nickel specs all through it.
@TopherspinMeteorites
2 жыл бұрын
That is a huge claim. A stoney iron is a Pallasite. If you actually found a real one. It would be published in the MetBull.

Its 39 grams. Metallic spots thru out. Small ireggular granular make up. Crust is rust brn. Some water exposure. There are a few dark spots in the body. No internal bubbles or cavities. Attracts magnet. Surface has some dipped spots. Shaped like a section of an orange. We called it stoney iron because of lack of knowledge. Its stoney granules with metallic magnetic specs. No visible large crystals like a true st.irn.
