Always looking for more Michigan based channels and content. Love ice fishing and I fish that relative area quite often, just subbed to the channel.

Yeah someday I’ll make it down there. Hard to beat the crappies through the ice though. I think that’s when they eat the best.

Heading up this weekend to try and get some fish! Coming from Indiana, ice still safe to be out on up there? We have had some warmer days down here lately.

Hey guys, I just moved into howard city recently and I'd really like to try the croton/ hardy on ice. Are there any spots that are unsafe right now? I don't need a hot spot for fish just don't want to swim.

The first one I used was yellow hornet. The darker green one I switched to at the end is the green hornet.

Couple questions for ya... 1) what kind of chair is your buddy using? I want one! 2) I've never fished croton. Just started really getting into ice fishing this year. Where do you get on the ice at there? Not familiar with the area at all. I'm down I'm Grand Haven. Thanks for any info you willing to share! I wanna get on the crappie bite!!

I had same question. I've been interested in fishing croton pond. Not interested in giving me your spot, but if you can point me to where your access is I would appreciate it! Only get out a could times a year for a short amount of time and don't have long periods of time to do heavy scouting and searching. Thank you!

His chair is an Eskimo chair. The easiest spot to get on croton is near the campground. There are a few parking spots and in the campground just across the bridge there’s a launch you get on. If you use navionics I believe it will show you the boat launch.

So you guys don't reply when fellow anglers ask how's it going when you're on the ice? It was my 4th time out there in the week fishing that same spot and fish. It wasnt a secret to me. Even just a good, you? would have done for a response. I didn't ask how the fishing was, I already knew.

I never noticed you guys walk back out and I thought I heard ya in there but could be wrong. I was the one with the eskimo shack that was the only other person out there for a bit til my couple buddies showed up. I was disappointed when I saw you exactly where I was trying to get set up on. I walked over after you guys left and my waypoint there was 10 ft from where you were set up at lol. Made due with going out a little farther and ended up still hitting fish.
