Nice job on the jigs. I remember walking the shore at San V when I was a teenager probably 1996'ish, split shotting my go to pumpkin seed reaper. There was a guy sitting on an ice chest on a point smashing them with live crawdads on a spit shot rig.

Thanks for watching! I still love reaper fishing to this day. I remember some of those days to smashing them on points on the crawdads. Mine were usually at Lake Poway.

I don't catch very many fish on the jig, but when I do, they are bigger fish. Thanks for always taking us fishing with you.

Enjoyable and entertaining video as always, Chris. I'm a little surprised as well that crawdads came in second. Keep em' coming.

I was there that day. It was a pretty good day. Looks like yours was good too. My weapon of choice was the jerkbait. Maybe I’ll see you out there or when you come by the shop again.

Huh 🤔 maybe because the live bait is just sitting there. While the jig is always moving, making it more likely to be seen.

Thanks for watching! I always make sure the dad is moving. I think it was the color of the dads. Hopefully doing part 2 of this soon. The scientific method, right!

Of course it’s not just sitting there it’s live bait for a reason “lively kicking” not dead bait

@@kennysee15definitely we want the bait to be kickin! Thanks for watching and sharing.

@@kennysee15 I hear you. That live bait is also trying to crawl into a hiding space. While the other is constantly very visible to the fish. Yea he said he moves the live dad around but is still not being moved at the same rate as the jig. Also the color the crays could be throwing the fish off. Either way I say more movement for the live bait. Hook ‘em up real good and jig em around

The last time I saw the lake, the water was insanely low, I pray they keep some of this falling water right now.

The lake is super low and getting lower and lower every time I go. I know the rock pile that I was fishing at the beginning of the video was completely underwater in one of the other videos from last year it’s gone down by at least 15 to 20 feet since then. It would be nice if we could maintain some of our water. Thanks for tuning in!

Very slow for me and most bass guys. The crappie guys were doing well though. Most bass were caught dragging the bottom and I saw a couple on ARigs. The water is still cold and coming up fast.

Well Being ur using biggr dad's ur artificial will b bettr, but why don't u try the dads thar r about 2.5 to 3in long, u will get way more bites and u hook them from underneath the end of the tail, just catchin the meat on the poop shoot, the smallr dad's the bass just suck in like candy, and color don't matter when using the small dads
@chrisbrandtthebeefshaman9590

Hey thanks for watching. I was unable to get smaller dads. I’m absolutely sure if they were small green dads it would have been a different story.
