I am so jealous of Australians haha I live in the Pacific Northwestern United States our birds aren't as "social" haha no parrots or anything like that but lots of intelligent birds like corvids and such.

Crows are very intelligent and social and you can berfriend them aswell. Also i don‘t think you need to be jealous, at least in the northern hemispheres not every second animal you meet is potentially deadly or very very painful to come in contact with. :)

I would sing them a song, gently and slowly as not to scare them. See will they sing it one day. Such characters!

I think you mean those green parakeets that florish in city parks in Europe nowadays. those are far more shy than these cockatoo's and I don't think cockatoo's will become as abundant in Europe as the parakeets.

Yes. That would be for a hand raised one. They are very loving and demand constant attention. If not given they scream and tear up things(which they will do anyway) and they pluck out all of their glorious plumage. PLEASE leave wild birds in the wild. Coming from a person who has raised birds and owned cockatoos for over 30 years. Do yourself and them a favor and just watch them.

I think I saw an Alfred Hitchcock film like this... sorta... hmmm... what was that film title? "Giggles" - was that it? "Constant Giggles"? Something like that... I'm almost sure of it.
