Its absolutely illegal. But till now there are many rural areas in India where farmers sell their wives and daughters due to unable to repay their loans taken from "paisawala"(rich people who provides loan against high rate of interest). Unfortunately corrupted authority doesn't take any action against those exploiters. Luckily some human rights organization and NGOs started highlighting these matters to the world but still in many region people are suffering these kind of exploitation because government failed in uplifting these poor farmers.

I'm Indian. We don't have that law. Slavery and trafficking are illegal. Collateral can only be property. But people are not property. Thus, You obviously cannot make your wife your collateral. Even if it used to be a law during the British rule in India, it cannot be enforced as it violates basic human rights (what we call fundamental rights) enshrined on our constitution. No law can be in violation of fundamental rights. PS: I'm a lawyer.

I also looked up where the waistline numbers came from and the only thing I found was that it was the numbers used to indicate whether or not a person has metabolic syndrome or not. (If you're above that number, it's considered as you having it) I also asked my mom (who's almost 50) if she had to do any kind of mandatory health testing and she said that she didn't and even if there was one, there'd be no punishment for not doing it as she didn't get any.

Andefir Don't trust everything you find on KZitem. There's no such law in Poland. Some time ago a bunch of morons from the town of Tuszyn refused to name a playground after Winnie the Pooh because of the alleged nudity and ambiguous gender of this cartoon character. It was a resolution of the town council and it got a lot of publicity in the international media. This incident is not even close to the statement that Winnie the pooh is banned in some parts of Poland. It's a huge misunderstanding, exaggeration or simply untrue information.
@Andefir

Andefir - " I wonder what other stories they made up in other videos or even this one" Today I watched and give minus for: "Crazy laws..." of course because of ban of "Kubuś Puchatek" "What if the UE didn't exist?" "European Stereotypes" - Cyprus isn't European, and Norway is... That something isn't in EU don't mean that isn't European. "Who will be next super power nation?" the same problem as "How much power does the Vatican have?" and "What are the chances of ww3?" But when you watch: "50 Insane WW2 facts..." and "What if Hitler had won?" you will know that is really a low-quality channel, focuses on nice pictures and the amount of video per week than on a quality, facts and an exact depth of the topic. This channel do very bad research and when YOU know topic you know that thay manipulate or simply lie (esp. on the titles) Personally I don't understand why they have so many views, but the tastes are not discussed. I really liked "50 Cold War facts..." - it was creepy funny, but I don't know if this "facts" were really facts or they made them up for clics :(

On the note of Winnie the Pooh being "illegal" or "banned" in certain places of Poland is severily blown out of proportions. WIth some quick research, you'll find that the story was basically that the local government in a town in Poland (Tuszyn) was looking to have a mascot for a local playground. The local government had a meeting where they talked about the fact that Pooh doesn't wear pants and have no genetalia, and is therefore a bad role-model for kids. So they decided not have Winnie the Pooh as the mascot for the playground. I really cannot find any mention of them "banning any images of Winnie the Pooh from the whole town" or anything. Please check your facts, Infographics Show! Also, that part were Buddist monks are forbidden to re-incarnate in China is most likely a way for them to try and control Tibet, by controlling who would be the next Dalai Lama (and Panchen Lama), when the current one inevetably dies.

Actually the ban on high heels in Greece is understandable, some museums in for example Italy have the same ban, but it just isn't a countrywide law. High heels (here we mean stiletto heels with a really small point on the heel that touches the ground) exert a concentrated force on the ground below them, and marble (which most of the old antique sites in Greece are made out of) is not that good in withstanding them. The same with renaissance palaces turned into museums. Having people walk around in stiletto heels would leave the place with a floor marked with small dents all around.

Here in Portugal it says it is illegal to pee in the ocean... Like, how do you even know who’s peeing on the beach?

There's actually this little fish thing that can go up while you are peeing so that's how they'd know actually it's disgusting

I'm from Denmark. We have a law stating that if the sea between us and Sweden were to freeze causing a Swedish invasion via the ice, we may defend ourselves with sticks.

If you go back when Texas was a country there was a law that says if you were going to commit a crime on someone (robbing, murder and etc) you have to tell them 24 hours before you do. It weird but yet very smart. Love the vids have a great day
