The quality will be dodgy, yet it will be as simple and REPAIRABLE as it gets. Probably can strip the whole thing apart with simple hand tools. Actually once you get it broken in it won't be that bad, it's a joke that Russian's consider that the final machining and bedding in process takes place during the break in period. One key would be if spare parts are easily available. I have some experience with Soviet era equipment if you are even 1/2 a shade tree mechanic you can keep it running..

I’d like one of those goofy looking old 4x4 vans they got over there. I’ve seen about a dozen documentaries where they are using them to travel and wow those things are pretty damn capable.

Ohhh no it's cheap and easy to fix noooo it's propaganda give me back my 80k suv that breaks down every 2 months that guzzles 150 dollars of gas every week .
