Creamed Leeks

Ingredients
1 kg of Leek stalks
50 g Butter
50 ml Cream
Juice of half a lemon
Salt
Black pepper
Instructions
Cut the leaves of leek about 10 cm above the beginning of the first leaf.
Cut the stems in half lengthwise.
Wash onion stalks under running water. Cut the onion into half rings, approximately 3-4 mm thick.
Melt the butter in a large frying pan, add chopped onion. Salt and pepper.
Simmer for 10-15 minutes over medium heat under a lid.
Add cream and simmer for another 2 minutes.
At the end of cooking, sprinkle the leeks with the juice of half a lemon.
