This Pesto Pasta with Tuna is so simple yet so tasty! It is one great way to use canned tuna and turn it into a delectable meal in no time at all.
Of course, simple pasta tossed in pesto sauce is good in itself. But adding Golden Seas Yellowfin Tuna Chunky in Olive Oil brings in a whole new level of flavor. I also usually add some slices of mushrooms which give the dish some added texture and volume.
It is one of my go-to dish for last-minute dinner plans for your family or love ones. Believe me, they will never know. Especially when they get to try this simple yet restaurant-worthy pasta dish.
Ingredients
500g Penne Pasta
2tbsp Classic Pesto
1 medium Red Onions
4 cloves Garlic
1pack Nestle All Purpose Cream
1can Golden Seas YellowfinTuna Chunky
Cooking oil or use canned tuna oil
Salt and Black Pepper
1can Mushroom (sliced) optional
Grated cheese (optional)
Instructions
Boil pasta until just tender or Al dente
Meanwhile, heat olive oil in large skillet over medium heat.
Add garlic and onion and sauté for 3 - 4 minutes. Add the Golden Seas Yellowfin Tuna and continue sautéing, then add mushroom.
Seasoned with salt and black pepper.
Add the Classic Pesto and stir.
Add Nestle cream and then mix well.
Add some cheese, stir, and it's done!
Drain pasta and place back in sauce pan.
Let simmer for a while in low heat in 2mins. Then turn off the heat.
Serve with grated cheese on the top.
Serving
3-5 persons
