Thank for this videos. I have PowerPoint 2019. I tried to do like you but when Iwant to make intersection it doesn't work.

The order in which you select the picture placeholder and then your image is important. You have to first select the image placeholder that you add to your master slide, then select your picture (so both are selected), and then you can select merge shapes > intersect. If you select your image first, then the picture placeholder - you cannot intersect the shapes to create the placeholder. This does work with PowerPoint 2019.

Is there a way to make an image placed in the slide master editable when not in the slide master view?

No. When you add an image to a slide master slide, it is a permanent part of the slide. If you want to have the same image dimensions on your slides, just create a new master slide and add an image placeholder to the slide, size it how you want, and save the master slide. When you are creating your deck, you can insert a slide using that master slide, then you can add an image to that slide. You can change that image any time you want.

@@benmcmann9908 Thanks so much for the reply. Dang shame. Seems the only way to do what I'm looking to do is with an add-in. Thanks again!
