You have nothing to worry about appearance wise, people are really more concerned about your personality, which is fine, and whether or not we are are learning anything. In this video more close-ups on the work you were working on would have been great but we also understand part of what your were working on is overcoming insecurities so good job over all.

I appreciate that thank you!! Yes I definitely should’ve added more close ups of the work in that video but I’ve started incorporating that into my more recent videos especially the tutorial style ones. I think it’s just taken a while to get used to filming but I’m getting there😁

You are beautiful! When you are an old woman like me you will look back and wonder why you ever worried about it. You could get a cheap mechanical hand drill or a little twist drill for r now. Can you use a metal ring mandrel for the wax? Hoping to try some wav stuff in the next year.

Thank you so much and I KNOW you’re beautiful as can be 😊 I do use a mini hand vise and regular bits, burs, and drill some time to time, except on metal it’s very hard on your fingers and hands lol. But with wax it’s very easy. I’ve tried using wax on a metal mandrel but the wax hardens so quickly from the cool metal that it slips right off the mandrel. I’ve seen other jewelers use a piece of tape (unsure what kind exactly) on their mandrel to keep it from sliding off while they build their wax design but I haven’t bothered looking into it given I have my crusty cheap plastic one lol. I believe it’s similar to painters tape possibly.

A suggestion... Tie your hair back when you're working at your bench. It's dangerous to have it hanging loose and falling forward.

Most definitely!! I’ve tried to start doing that more and more, sometimes I forget though. Thank you so much for commenting!!
