I first use the Flat Inker brush to lay some color out across the screen. I've chosen to create a twisty, satisfyingly symmetrical situation. Once I have laid out this groundwork, I begin to blend using the Liquify Blender and and Heavy Bleed Blender brushes. I choose to blend areas here and there while still leaving some harsh lines.
Time for the Liquefy tool! To use, simply click the magic wand in the upper left-hand corning of your iPad screen. Select Adjustments - Liquefy - Push.
When I follow up with the Spray Blender Brush, wherever I apply the pencil with splash and splatter the color it touches up on to other parts of the piece.
The Static Ink and Ink Pool Edger brush strokes do not blend into their environment and can be used to add some striking, harsh lines. I add several of these lines in various colors before using the liquify tool again.
On the same layer, I then add texture to areas of the piece with the Add Ink Depth Texture brush. I use the Heavy Bleed Blender brush to blend the purple and brown together. My Hair Dryer 1 brush adds cloudy texture to the top and bottom of the piece. I use the Ring Blender brush to create the impression of alcohol dripping here and there.
On a second layer, I use the Color Changing 9 brush to add white texture over the entire piece, creating a dreamy, cloudy effect.
Time to add a new layer for metallics! I switch over to my metallics color palette (also included with the brush set) as a default, then select a gray color in my Foil Liner brush. I add just a few metallic accent lines. Such fun to see where your instinct takes you! Using my Extra Fine Glitter brush in the same color, I add extra sparkle to these accent lines. For the final touch, I add a new layer for chunky glitter with the Metallic Ink Liner brush.
