UPDATED VERSION OF THIS TUTORIAL: kzitem.info/news/bejne/lq6L1aJ8kml_iYI Since Blender is developing fast - so is this channel. I have done updated step by step tutorial on making grass simulation in new Blender version 3.6 with extra features utilizing the simulation in geometry nodes. Now you can spawn the seeds, grow the grass yourself, and then trim it yourself all within one powerful setup.

anyone want to make it cut around and it's only cutting the top section, make sure to change your "frame end" from 60 to your prefer liking in the physics properties, then "delete all bakes" and MAKE SURE you reset the frame to "frame one" before baking by using "shift + left arrow key" then bake again. also found a issue with the regrow, it might just be me but i have to keep baking every time after i change the regrowth speed in order to actually see a difference, applies to changing your keyframes as well

You can always ask for a friend with a better computer to render it for you. I used to do that when I started in Blender, I could make stuff but rendering took ages. What my pc did in 5 hrs my friend's pc did in 3 minutes, lol... I sent him the .blend files, and he doesn't need to know how to do anything, just render it for you, as render settings are also saved in the .blend file, so you just do the whole project and someone with a better pc does it for you, is easy to send him the files, and get the renders back is even easier.

He mentioned that he just had the ball follow a curve he created in one response. I don't know if that helps you...
@kellygoodine9944
Жыл бұрын
for following the path...You create a curve ( he had round square path around the cube ).. after you create the curve... select your object you want to move along the curve ( make sure your object's location,rotation are zero'd out) ... go to object constraint properties on the right hand side... its one of the icons on the right lower corner... click on Add Object Constraint, a pop up menu will appear.... select follow path.... A window will appear with follow path at the top..under follow path, you select your target either with the eyedropper or select from the menu . ( this places your object at the beginning of the curve) Then click the Animate Path button at the bottom of the Follow Path window. ( the object should follow the path here, but it wont change orientation) . To change orientation along the curve, you also click Follow Curve. Now to get the right orientation you have to just do trial and error between the xyz settings for the Forward axis and Up axis, which are also in the Follow Path Window... Credit to professor Craven tutorial on youtube. Also, in the path properties tab ( a different icon on the lower right corner) , click on path animation ( may have to scroll down to see it) it will show you how many frames the animation takes for the object to complete traveling along the curve... which you can add or decrease frames to when you click Path Animation
