The moment you started talking about how you listen to the Skyrim soundtrack when you write fantasy, I fell in love with you.

Andrea Roberts Thank you! I like to switch things up (the writing videos has started to feel kind of stale and stagnant), but it’s nice to film these when the energy feels new and fun 😊 I appreciate you watching!

This video is pure gold to me. Thank you so much, very inspiring. I love the fact we both like journaling, visualising the future selves, treating ourselves, and we both work better with positive reinforcement. I'd like to develop your constance and your discipline as well.

Not just Skyrim, but Morrowind and Oblivion- also Jeremy Soule. They've been my go-to soundtracks since 2006.

Kristen, I LOVE the world map. So different and inspirational. For me, if I have a full day to dedicate to writing, I still get up and get myself ready to show up to the novel's page. Coffee, meditation, journaling, shower and dressing for the day--all important to the routine. Treating my work with the respect it deserves turns into better production. When writers tell me they just can't get that first novel finished, I always ask, "Are you treating your story in a way that shows it deserves to be finished?" Show up. Love your plot, love your characters, and, for heaven's sake, show loyalty to the page. Great video.

Good steps, but sadly won't work with my lifestyle. These step will most definitely become someone's ethos. I can write anywhere that is quiet; a must, as I need to listen to my imagination tell me the story.

Haven't seen a video in my feed in a while, but I needed this one. Got a new planner and system last year, and was able to complete and publish a few projects, but trying to get more done this year. Like the top 3 in the morning thing. Going to try it. Also, for my fantasy and horror music (and story) inspiration, I'm more a Dark Souls & Bloodborne person.

This may just be a phrase I’ve somehow missed out on my whole life, but what exactly is “copy” writing? I signed up for the class, but haven’t actually seen an explanation for what copy writing is. Enjoyed the vid!!

Carson Edwards No worries, it was new to me as well until about a year or so ago! 😊 It’s essentially text that helps increase brand awareness and prompts the reader to take action, whether that’s for promotion of a product or service, advertising, marketing, or something else. I’m sure there’s more to it than that, but that’s the gist 😉

@@AuthorKristenMartin It's an awesome dungeon crawl. They sell it on the Grimrock site for $14.99 or you can get both editions for like $29.99. If I meet my Feb goals (using Project Slay - easy win), I get to buy part 2. :)

Niky Evesham It’s an açaí bowl 🙌🏼 I get the açaí mix in the frozen fruit section at Kroger, add half a banana and 1/4 cup of honeycrisp apple juice and blend it up, then top with grains/seeds and cut up bananas and voila! The most delicious snack ever!
