Love to learn how to make these little houses. Love your garden . I have all sun I don't think the moss will work in the sun will it ?

Hi Diana, this is a valuable comment and you are correct full sun would not work with moss. I should have mentioned that in the video, this moss garden needs almost full shade, I have morning sun and that is it. For full sun I would either make a garden with succulents or you could find something that loves the sun that is a low ground cover. Hens & Chicks, some creeping Sedum plants s well as other low succulents could be places with rivers stones and crushed stone and sand to make an equally cute garden in full sun. I hope this helps.

Hi Fanny! I live in New Hampshire and I'm very lucky to have property wedged between two parks/nature preserves, so I have miles of woods to walk in and explore. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Love these. do you use colored polymer clay or do you paint them. thanks

HI Mary, great question! I use colored polymer clay. Not only do I find it easier, and it gives a nice crisp and realistic look, It also doesn't need to be sealed to be outside. Polymer clay in its baked form does not need to be sealed to protect it.... UNLESS it has paint on it...which then it would need to be coated with varnish to protect the paint. So by using colored clay it also means I don't have to do any other steps. Easy Peasy! The key to this project is using Sculpey Bake and Bond to keep the clay attached to the pot after baking. OR you can bake all the pieces (door, window, roof etc). on the terra cotta ( so their shape bakes on correctly to the curve of the pot) and then after it is cool the pieces can be popped off and you can put super glue, gorilla glue or E600 on the back of the pieces and stick it in place. I've had these pieces out in the sun, rain etc. 4 Summers in a row... some slight fading in places, but over all they have held up great!

Just gorgeous! Where do you live? This looks so foreign to me, I live in Arizona!

Well we share the same country Diane, but certainly not the same climate. May and June are so green and lush here, so I'm sure it looks foreign to your eyes. You could do this with succulents and crushed stone and sand. OR why not make one inside your home in a terrarium, then you could have a little woodland lush world in the middle of a desert! ;-) Thanks for watching.

I'm not sure what plant you are referring too... but at the beginning 00:35 on the right side is a perennial geranium, is spreads lovely and comes back year after year.
