@@method341 I'm not sure how long it will be before I circle back around to machine learning, but for now, be sure to see that playlist - kzitem.info/news/bejne/1K572HqDf2lzfY4 xgboost is effectively the same process as random forest except you'll need to tune different hyper parameters

Very cool, especially the gif creation. I've been playing around with this for a bit in markdown. You can add "options(rgl.useNULL = TRUE)" in the setup code chunk to prevent rgl from opening a new rgl device while knitting.

Great video. Have you ever had any issues getting your type to change? I cannot seem to get the spheres to work. type = "p" and "h" both work, but the spheres (type = "s") render a blank plot. Thoughts? Thanks!

@@Riffomonas hi! Figured it out. I used scatter3d from plotly and basically used subplots to merge two plots such that they are overlapping. Many thanks!

Thank you, this was great! I added a legend using legend3d and it worked fine with the gif. But, with RMarkdown, the sizing of the legend was totally off and anything I did to fix it just made it blurry. Would really appreciate advice on how to resolve this!

Very Nice, Could you Please guide me, how can we gave a different color to only first row (ref) of X Y Z while remaining rows of XYZ gave another color for comparison purpose. Is it possible with 3d plot. Thanks

You would basically do what I did here with disease_color, but assign one color to the first row and another color to all of the other rows

Got a problem: message could not find function "plot3d" executing that first time the graph (3:36). When I write plot3 it does not open options for plot3.. like on the video...I guess something was not installed. I did input everything on screen and run as in the video, the app installed a km of packages in red text. First time user, no idea how to get past this hurdle. Oh, another error is Error: '\U' used without hex digits in character string starting ""C:\U"

Welcome - thanks for watching! Did you run install.packages(“rgl”) and then library(rgl) ? The command is plot3d not plot3.

@@Riffomonas If that wasn't done automatically on Run, then no, I did not. How to do it? Another similar video talker about installing libraries but the menu in the video is missing in the app so, again no joy. And, yes, function's name is plot3d, I merely underlined that it was not recognized by the app while writing it.

Hi Haza - there's a variety of functions you can use within the rgl package to save movies and gifs. You can also save it as an opengl object that can be rendered to make an interactive webpage. Check out cran.r-project.org/web/packages/rgl/rgl.pdf Thanks for watching!
