I love working with LGB’S. A trick I’ve found in taking the book apart is to take a heat gun to the gold foil and it will come of without damage. I don’t cut off the edge but I take 4 - 1/2 inch pieces of card stock and glue it to the edge of the book where the spine attaches on inside of each cover piece. (This strengthens this part of the book) I attach the spine as you did. You keep the book the same width as before and you don’t have to cut or fold the pages no matter what binding technique you use.

There’s actually a way that you can save the hinge portion of the spine to keep the pages of the story without having to cut them down. You can put junk journal pages in between the story pages. Really cute.

I love that you dont make any holes in the spine, that is where I'm struggling, will try it your way next time, so much simpler!

I am enjoying your video.I like the way you give instructions and make comments about what you are doing. Thank for leaving out the mindless chatter.l also appreciate that you left in your “oops” moments. I would have panicked if I had done that and not known how easily it could be corrected if caught early. Good job!

Thank you for the kind words and the great feedback! It sounds like we enjoy the same kind of things in videos. And I leave the bloopers in because we are all human, we all do those kinds of things. And if I can give anyone courage and know it’s okay to try and screw up, then I’ve done something right! However, I did leave out the names I called myself whilst erring the second time! 🤣😜🤷🏼♀️ I hope you enjoy some of my other videos as well. ❤️💗💚
